I stayed here in December and I really loved the set-up of the B&B not to mention the view from my room. It seemed so cozy and tucked away up in the hills and was conveniently located next to some outstanding restaurants. Unfortunately I booked a room for the wrong date prior to my visit and was unable to get...

Jose Retana's help with booking tours in Monteverde was superb. A welcoming, caring friend. Our room was cozy and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The breakfasts got us off on the right foot each day. Loved the fresh fruit and coffee.

There's nothing I can say bad about this hostel. The private rooms were wood paneled, comfy, and clean. All hotel areas were clean. The grounds are nice with pretty plants and flowers. The host Jose helped with any tour bookings we wanted. He also made sure we got on our transportation at the right time. The included breakfast has many...

Jose Retana was very helpful and kind, and helped me make travel arrangements (such as shuttle reservations). The hotel has a friendly atmosphere (guests are allowed to use the kitchen, for instance).

Highly recommend Camino Verde to anyone who is in Monteverde. The guys at Camino will not only make you feel welcome but they'll make you feel like family. Check out the zip line tours and the tree hike. You wont regret it!

Staying at Camino verde was a wonderful experience. Jose was very helpful and accommodating. We booked the San Juan coffee tour with him and it was great! It's located close to the center of town and it's safe to walk into town at night (it's about a 5 minute walk). There are tons of restaurants in town and a bar...

Excellent quailty-price deal, next to the city center and very well-organized. You can book all the activities in Monteverde's area directly at the reception! Rooms are small but clean and comfortable.

We went to Monteverde to visit the cloud reserve and stayed at Camino Verde. The place was excellent. Easy to check in. The room was spacious and the inn location was great. The breakfast was delicious. We could use the kitchen as needed

We were visiting Costa Rica for 10 nights and the 3 first ones were here. When my girlfriend and I arrived at the airport, the shuttle was already arranged to get to Cabinas Tinas with Jose. He was expecting us and we had a warm welcome with a good coffee! Jose was instrumental in helping us arrange all activities and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
