The owner and the receptionist are super kind and helpful. They make you feel home and make your stay easier by giving you precious info about the surroundings. The room we were give was big and had a kitchen, too. The location is convenient, close to the supermarket and restaurants in the center. It's like 5 minutes walk. Thanks for...

It is a small villa with less than 10 rooms. The restaurant for breakfast is terrific, great service good food. The walls are delightful decorated. The rooms good size. If something need to be said are that the bedding need improvement, they are not comfortable. The rest is great. They make you fill special

I would not stay here again, but we would eat here again. The food was great. The people were lovely. We enjoyed the breakfast most! The room had a few bugs. The girl was not helpful so I am guessing spiders and bugs are part of the area. We did not leave luggage on the floor etc. Food keep locked...

My family of four spent two nights here on our trip last month. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a small kitchen area and a fan (no AC). There was a small porch area where we could visit outside in the evening while our kids played in a small grassy courtyard a few steps away. Breakfast each morning was...

We rented the family room, it was a roomy, quaint cabin. Very clean. The free breakfast is wonderful! Family run, all very helpful & friendly. Had the feel of a B&B. The only complaint I would have to say to be honest: Two of us had phones that the wifi worked in the room. The other two had iPhones &...

The rooms were basic, very old mattresses, paper thin sheets. Wifi did not work in our room at all, and when I inquired I was told " it doesn't always work in room 7". There is no pool, as on review stated, which was a huge disappointment to our son, and one of the reasons we chose it. Staff were...

The room was clean, spacious. The staff very friendly. The breakfast was amazing. The owner, like so many Costa Ricans, was super happy and accommodating. We spent two nights, did all the tours and were happy to call this place our home while there.

From the moment we arrived in Monteverde, we felt a sense of calm. Our stay at Villa Lodge was quiet and comfortable. We were located slightly outside (walking distance) of Santa Elena which made us feel a bit of serenity. The room felt like a vaulted ceiling cabin and was nice but not over luxurious. It had a small kitchenette....

From the moment we arrived at night, the manager was so friendly and seemed excited to host us. I mentioned sloths, and he took us right into the nearby woods with a flashlight to try and find one. We were able to buy very tasty wine that night. Breakfast was so much more than expected. Choice of different dishes, coffee,...
