We stayed two nights and enjoyed ourselves very much. The staff were very helpful, always friendly and oriented us immediately to our surroundings and the possible things we could do. We had a private room in the new section which had a very comfortable bed and hot water in the shower. It was very busy with some families and small...

Great price for a great hostel. I stayed in a dorm room for 2 nights, the room was basic but spacious and clean, the other private cabins looked great. The communal area has a really nice vibe, the free coffee was always hot. The best thing about this place is the staff, so friendly, not pushy at all and very...

We stayed 6 nights and would highly recommend this hostel. We had a private room in the gardens and it was clean and had good hot water in the shower... maybe a few hooks to hang up clothes would help ! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions and booking tours. The breakfast voucher for Taco Taco next...

I arrived in Monte Verde and the first thing that I did was check out all of the hostels for the best deal. Pension was the first one I checked out, and was ultimately the one I settled for. And gladly. Although it is the most expensive dorm in town ($12), the atmosphere, helpful staff, backyard space and comfortable common...

I did not stay in this hostel. However, I hung out here a lot when I got kicked out of my own hostel (Sloth Backpackers, do NOT go there!). They were so friendly and understanding for my situation. I could hang out in the common room with the other guests, use the wifi and bathroom and book tours with them....

I loved Monteverde and I loved this hostel. Very clean and well run, location awesome and the "free breakfasts" included were definitely the best out of all the hostels we stayed at in Costa Rica. A bit more pricey than other places but really awesome. Management were very helpful with suggesting and organizing activities and it had a great vibe,...

This is by far the best hotel/hostel I have stayed in, ever. We were lucky enough to have a longer term resident of Monteverde recommend it during the bus ride from San Jose. She helped us to navigate the hotel hawkers as we left the bus (who will try to carry your bags to their hotel) and walked us to...

Dear Jessica Your email was so kind I felt I needed to respond. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Free yummy breakfast at the taco eatery/walk-up next door. Stayed in a private with bunk beds, the room was clean. However, the bathroom had a bad sewer (poop smell). We didn't notice it when we checked in because they leave the doors open for (I'm assuming) circulation. Once we returned to the room the smell...

This is a hostel, foremost, but has comfortable private rooms with en suite. Not fancy but loaded with character. The two guys who run the place are what make it so great. So different from where we stayed in La Fortuna! They are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, friendly and laidback. Great location (if a bit noisy- Monteverde is compact, so...

I have just finished a three night stay at Pension Santa Elena and highly recommend staying here. They offer affordable accommodation for all levels (dorms, private rooms with and without private bathrooms). I stayed in a single room with bathroom, basic but very clean. The inclusive breakfast is excellent and there is also a fully stocked kitchen if you need...
