We arrived to something that seems small but it makes such a difference when you've just finished an exhausting journey and you have a backpack on your back. A smiling face and a very quick checkin! They brought us straight to our room and told...More
We spent three nights here while in the area. The PSE has very much a laid back, youth hostel vibe, yet we were also able to get a room with a private bath. The rooms are very basic: concrete floor, bed and single built-in night...More

We want to thank Diego for being excellent in every way. Another staff (young girl at reception) don't know her name but she was great too. The hostel was as clean as a hostel can be and the environment / atmosphere was superb. We stayed...More

The breakfast was provided in the attached food spot Taco! Taco! When I was there, there was a choice of fruit with yoghurt and granola and toast or tacos with eggs. Both were reasonable. I am a vegetarian and so I had both on occasion. They have free coffee all day.
As the other respondent said, the shuttle is not free, but I can't really imagine it would be as Santa Elena is way up in the mountains. A resort close to the airport could have a free shuttle theoretically, but I never saw any free shuttles really. There are plenty of transportation options for tours and activities. Sometimes the place that you get the tour will send transport or the kind folks at the pension can help arrange things for you.
