The hotel has more of B&B feel which we love. The hotel is neat and clean. Beautiful grounds, modern rooms and solid breakfast. The best feature is the owners. My significant other had a hard time with very itchy insect bites. The wife is a former nurse and gave my Sig, O, some meds that really helped her. One night...

This hotel is out of the bustle of the center and yet walking distance from it. The view from the hotel is stupendous - you have a panorama of the mountains that includes a waterfall. The owner treats everyone who comes through like family and really tried to make sure you get to do everything you want to do. She...

Loved it here. Views were spectacular. Owners were so helpful and friendly. Very clean, breakfast was good and plenty of it. Short walk to town. Saw a sloth on the walk one time. Had a private bathroom. Definitely would stay again and recommend it to others. Free internet.

We just finished a two night stay with owners Nidia and Danilo and they made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were comfortable, and although some have complained about noisy walls, we did not experience that. The breakfasts were excellent and we visited a lot with the owners; very friendly and helpful. So, for us, the #1...

Las Orquideas is north of town, a one minute drive to the Santa Elena commercial triangle. It feels very homey - literally, and their doors are right off the kitchen, common area, or lobby without much of a hallway buffer. It makes for a noisy night - we heard the man next to us snoring- so as others have recommended,...

Las Orquideas is about an 8 min walk from the centre of Santa Elena, and is a great little B&B. Pros: very affordable (we paid less than $100 for 2 nights), good breakfasts, the woman who runs it is very helpful with arranging tours etc. Cons: walls are thin, so you can hear everything that is going on in the...
