We just spent one night at the Chateau d'Arche, but would have gladly stayed longer. This was a serene and beautiful accommodation and our room was huge and gorgeous. The breakfast was perfect with excellent breads. The setting of rolling hills and vineyards made for a gorgeous view with great tranquillity.

Quiet, charming, best view in town. I'll comme back. The breakfast in fine with local products. There is a little lobby with a bottle of their dry white wine to drink. They offer you a visit of the 'chais' with degustation of the full range of their wines. And you can walk around the vineyards guided by an app on...

I stayed here for one night as part of a walking holiday. Our rooms (4 friends travelling together) had been pre-booked and pre-arranged as twin rooms by our tour company. Our dinner (in a village restaurant - the hotel has no dinner facilities) had also been pre-arranged. After a 15k hike, upon arrival, a young girl (teen?) showed us to...

A beautiful Chateau and worth using it for a comfortable night's rest if you are in the area. We travelled down from Ile de Re and knowing the hotel had no dining facilities opted to arrive early for a lunch in the village. We spent our evening at The Chateau, purchasing a bottle of their Estate Graves. The silence was...

We were booked into this hotel by our insurance company after breaking down on the motorway. What good luck! It is a beautiful 17th century building fully updated in the middle of the vineyards with fabulous views all around. The staff were really helpful and booked us into a really good and cheap local restaurant for dinner. We had to...

Lovely chateaux hotel, with excellent local wine -- they provided our bicycle tour group with a very informative and delicious tasting. The room was much larger than the norm in France, with a huge bathroom (with in-tub shower and slippery floor!). Excellent restaurants a short walk down the hill to the town. Very helpful, accomodating, English-speaking staff.

This place is in a fantastic location and from the front looks amazing. It's a different story when you enter I'm afraid. The bedroom we had smelled of dampness, there were damp stained patches on the furniture, the decor was old and dated including the carpets and the pillows were just cheap. Breakfast is basic with not a lot of...

Don't drive nearby without stopping in here! We stayed here one night and I believe it is right time to be in here. Beautiful room and chateau, exallent wine tour in Chateau d'Archeand and dinner in the village of Sauternes was right spices for us in our tour in Bordeaux. We believe that most of you would be pleased as...

We (three adults) stayed here for one night during a driving holiday. Pros: The location and setting are wonderful and the rooms we were given were large and beautifully furnished (though lacking adequate lighting at night), with comfortable beds. We were given an impromptu cellar and wine-tasting tour in the evening, which was both interesting and informative. Yummy wines! Cons:...

“We stayed in the suite. Bathroom was very large and luxurious, but one needed to go down a flight of stone stairs to access it. Fine with us, but be forewarned.”
