For someone like me who has studied wine it is a real treat to stay in a place like Chateau d'Arche. But I'm sure any wine lover, especially if you like the sweet wines of Sauternes, would find it more than comfortable. I stayed when the harvest was on going. I had a tour and tasting and everyone was very...

Only had one night here in mid September but wished we were staying longer. We had the tower room and the view was very good over the vines etc. A beautiful room with a bathroom in the same tower but down a flight of stairs. The hotel is boutique and very charming. They have on-site wine tastings which was a...

We stayed her for one night whilst travelling down to the coast. We were met by a lovely helpful lady who showed us to our magnificent room that looked out onto horses and vineyards ! She booked us a table in a local restaurant for the evening and then arranged for us to have a tour of the vineyard. Basically...

The hotel is wonderful and is located in the middle of the vineyards. The room we stayed was excellent and the people taking care of us were so caring. I'm looking forward to have an opportunity to be there again.

We stayed in this chateau on the second night of our trip by car to southern Spain. The chateau has a beautiful courtyard and is adjacent to a number of other chateaux, each possessing its own vineyard in this historic wine-producing region of France. We were greeted warmly and shown a very large room on the first floor (the large...

We were fortunate to hear about the Chateau from friends and stayed for three nights as we traveled from Paris to Provence via Bordeaux. Our two rooms were spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was simple but delicious: excellent breads and pastries, fresh fruit, cheese and coffee or tea. Sabine and Nicole were most helpful with their recommendations and scheduling. We...

We had a very spacious nicely decorated room overlooking the vineyards. The hotel management was very helpful. In the morning we had a very nice free individual tour over the property and the wine production facilities followed by sauternes tasting. Definately recommend :)

Because I would like to keep it our secret. We just completed our fifth stay and found it as magical as the first. The people are very helpful, the rooms great, the location magical. Only wish we actually like Sautrenes wine. The Chateau is within walking distance of town...and, our rule, we schedule our visit when the restaurant in town...

The Relais du Chateau d'Arche is an affordable and charming place to stay within 10 minutes walk of Sauternes. It is perched on the top of a hill overlooking vineyards which afford it beautiful sunrise/ sunset views. Each room is individually styled and very French. The bathrooms have clawfood tubs with views opening up to the vineyards and horses. The...
