The hotel is situated near the village. In the night it's quiet. The rooms are big enough and there is a good view over the sea. Breakfast is not to big but o.k. There's place to park your rental car in front of the hotel. It's safe.

Situated on the east side of Paleochora, close to ferry pier, centre of the village, overlooking the Libyan Sea & the Paleochora crocodile. Stayed for 6 nights in this modern Western European style hotel. Our standard suite was spacious, well appointed with bedroom, sitting room & modern shower room. The aircon was very quiet & effective. The rooms were cleaned...

We arrived at this hotel tired and thirsty after a hard days walk from Glykeria. We were greeted by possibly the most unfriendly desk receptionist in the whole of Crete. Not a hint of a welcome or smile. Once we had checked in we went straight out to dinner and on our return around 22.30 the same gentlemen was sitting...

There were a lot of things we liked about On the Rocks and a few niggles. The location was good for everything in and around Paleochora and we liked the east facing rooms and the views. For us it was the best of both worlds sunshine wise. The staff were friendly and accommodating with nothing being too much bother for...

My husband and I spent 4 nights at On the Rocks and found it to be a peaceful and well located hotel. It is a short walk away from the busier town and was quiet at night. Our room had a separate bedroom and a sitting area with a couch, desk and TV. This looked out towards the balcony which...

Although the bedroom and bathroom are small this is a good hotel for a relaxing stay. Close to the main area of the town with fantastic views of the sea and mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good with a wide choice of food.

We had a room on the first floor with excellent views of the water. The staff was wonderful and made sure that our special occasion was celebrated with great fanfare. The breakfast was wonderful and I would have to say that this is the best place that we have stayed in Paleochora (been here 4 times). Lovely and romantic.
