nice garden, calm place, robinson crusoe place: great time spent in Paleochora, returning regulary, you have everything you need, bathroom, room, you spent the breakfast in the garden, smal kitchen, wifi, nice Sofia with her son Manolis. Perfect location in Paleochora, close to the beach, supermarket, bakery, bike rent.

This is a typical and genuinely old Cretan building with lots of character, not the commonplace soulless white-tiled apartments The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and set around a spacious garden with seating and tables, perfect for chilling out under the trees after a hard day on the beach. It is situated in a quiet street but only 5...

We booked for three nights as our usual hotel wasn't available. Sofia met us at check in. Lovely, but limited in communication as she only spoke Greek. Despite listing that owner was helpful, we were left to our own devices to get oriented. Popular with families and young children get up early, so crying baby was alarm each day at...

Sophia welcomed us even though we couldn't understand each other (there is a man there that speaks English, her son perhaps?). She showed up our room, our kitchen and asked if we were hungry (I thought she was asking something else to which I replied "a little"). When she came back with some food for us, I realized that I...

The owner was very helpful with great info about hikes in the area. He was able to help us plan our stay on Crete. Room was basic but clean and cozy even in December. On a quiet side street in the old centre close to the water. Nice courtyard. Paleochara is a fabulous place to hike in the off season....

The interior garden is perfect for families with small children like us. Sofia is very stern regarding prices but otherwise extremely friendly and generous. Cookies and cake were regular gifts on our table. Rooms are standard but no more and the kitchens are not equally equipped but what is there is sufficient - sometimes after a thorough cleaning... Near to...

We booked for one night based on recommendation of Lonely planet guide. Got a room at back of courtyard. Amazing value as paid 25 euros for room with ensuite and access to kitchen and little table and chairs in lovely garden courtyard. Cant complain about that.

Very central and hospitable place. Nice garden. Showers could do with a bit of up-dating but the rooms are clean ands spacious. Sofia and Manolis were excellent hosts. Friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 14 year old daughter and had a great time. Paleochora is magical when it comes to life at night....

We were travelling with our adult daughter and booked this reasonably priced accomodation on the internet. It is in a quiet back street not far from the town centre and close to both beaches (the pebble one was best during our stay because of strong winds) The appartment was on street level with two nicely decorated bedrooms, each with their...

Sofia is the woman who takes care of you at this charming collection of rooms encompassing a garden. She couldn't be friendlier and we sincerely appreciated all her small gestures of welcoming us. The town is located in the mountainous southwest of Crete and is near Elafonisi, one of the prettiest beaches anywhere, and two gorgeous gorges of which Irini...
