Its the other end of the main street, down a little lane. The setting is quite quiet and away from the hustle and bustle, but only an easy 8-10 minute stroll of the main street and restaurants. There is a small beach close to the front of the hotel, which is pebbly and not that great, but Makris Yialos beach is again less than 10 minutes slow stroll away and that is really lovely.
Really nice hotel by Greek standards, worth paying for a sea view though.
Hope this helps.

Most restaurants are along the main road going through the resort which is about a 10 to 20 minute walk from the Thalassa. See my review of the hotel to avoid the 'ups and downs'. We liked the walk as it allowed your meal to go down before going to bed, but if you have difficulty walking I would suggest this is not the hotel for you as the hotel did not provide evening meals. The apartments next door had a bar/restaurant but I'm not sure whether they provided evening meals. I hope this helps.
Also, the position of the hotel shown on the map on tripadvisor is incorrect. It is in the same bay as the Mediteranee and not around the corner as shown if I'm not mistaken.
