We arrive in Fiumicino 4 hours late, so did not have as must time outside of Rome as we had hoped. Still it was a short drive ~40 minutes to grottaferrata, which is a very nice town in the castelli romani region. The Locanda staff were welcoming and helpful. Took care of the luggage and the parking permit for our...

With only 10 rooms in a classic, but clean and well maintained building with modern amenities, this was a real find located just 40 kms from Fiumicino airport. Locanda dello Sputino is family run with great service, comfortable beds and free parking. The restaurant, Taverna dello Sputino is not to be missed - absolutely fabulous.

It was our first visit to the area and the hotel. It was a delightful experience from the moment we arrived. Vincenzo greeted us at the front desk and immediately made us feel at home. The hotel was beautiful and we learned that it is family owned. Vincenzo recommended that we eat the their restaurant. The food and service were...

Incredible service. Impeccable rooms and the restaurant is one of the best in the Region! We couldn't believe the price ! Something like this in Rome is valued at least twice as much. Try the amatriciana pasta and the lamb chops! The house wine is better than the bottled one: a great merlot. Below the restaurant there is a sort...

We have visited the excellent restaurant on the same site many times over the last 25 years and decided to treat ourselves to a night at the boutique hotel and dinner next door. Unfortunately, no-one thought to inform us when we booked that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment during our visit! This would have been a much bigger disappointment...

This is a very charming hotel with detail that draws together the ornate beauty of traditional art & antique with the modern requirements of todays traveller. The room I had was a double room, it was small but had everything I needed, it was very clean, comfortable and warm with the added bonus of Italian stylish beauty in the décor....

family atmosphere, cosy lobby, warm welcome. We were there with several other couples attending a conference nearby. Only draw back, very small room even for Europe. All went well until check out, we learned that though we had been told breakfast was included we were not told if we had room service we would pay FULL price for breakfast. Our...
