We thought we would try the local thermal springs and massage centre so we caught the train to Bagni Di Lucca. Picturesque little town however we didn't have a car and when we made inquiries about a taxi to get there the locals were amused and smiled kindly as they pointed us up the hill to explanations of 'no taxi'.... Overall a disappointment, most guests seems to come through Expedia or booking.com I don't think locals would bother. The spa pool was lovely and the patios for sitting in the sun were nice. The dining room is shockingly bad and the bedrooms were OK. We didn't try any of the spa facilities so that may be its redeeming feature. Wouldn't... More

The village of Bagni di Lucca has been known since Etruscan/Roman times for its mineral springs. We have been visiting Bagni Di Lucca for a number of years as my husband's family emigrated to the US from one of the small hill villages above this wonderful town. ( Even Elizabeth and Robert Browning spent summers in this lovely spot!). We... More

Spent one evening here last night. The girl on staff was friendly and the panoramic view from the room incredible! Quiet surroundings, but room could have been just a tad cleaner. Folded blankets we took out of closet smelled of dust. We also noticed a squashed mosquito on the wall not too mention some stains on the toilet seat we... More

For 330 euro for massage hydro bath and light lunch my wife and me expected to spend nice morning in good spa. However the massage room is not air-conditioned when outdoor temperature us 41 degrees. The "relaxing" room was also not air conditioned and since there are not windows we could not stay there for more than few moments. Using... More

We stayed here in April and we love d it! Elena the receptionist is the star of this place. Her smile and kindness immediately made us feel at home. Our room had a fantastic view, the food was lovely and the actual termal pool was nice. We also had a couple of treatments and we loved it! Staff is def... More

Loved the Terme at Bagni di Lucca. Started off with detoxifying steam bath in the natural cave 'Grotta Grande'. This was followed by an anti stress massage and relaxation session, completed with herbal tea and champagne. Towels, bathrobes and slippers provided plus a free set of soaps, shower gel and shampoo. Quite pricey - £150 per couple, but came out... More

On arrival I was a little concerned as there is room for some structural upgrades. The hotel is clean and the pool is lovely (even if a little small). What makes this place work is the service and the desire to make your holiday work. The team is very nice and offer free aperitivo and extras are very reasonably priced.... More

Stayed here with my husband for 3 nights end August. We were in a group of 13 going to the Puccini opera festival nearby. Staff were very helpful, food was very good, considering catering for large numbers of people. Our lovely waiter, Giacomo, was particularly helpful in sorting out early and fast meals and looked after us really well. Rooms... More

This is a rating of the restaurant only. We cannot understand how this place had a Michelin guide 2013 sticker on the window (knicked from somewhere perhaps). We were given a piece of paper that listed three first courses, three second courses, three sides and one fruit item, each with tick boxes next to them where we were to indicate... More

I deeply regret the disappointment for your stay. In our restaurant we offer a three choice menu that changes every day, as well as the possibility of having a quick-light-lunch outside especially for those who have spa treatments. At the hotel reception, as you confirmed, all the receptionits speak english, show the menu, and remain at disposal for any information... More
