Pienza is such a beautiful town and this hotel was such a let down. Situated outside the old town on a very busy main road with traffic noise. The rooms are so unattractive, large with lots of dark furniture but completely lacking in design or atmosphere. Restaurant food disappointing and served by head waiter who was cold and robotic.

Stayed at this family run hotel in Pienza for a short break to celebrate our 40th anniversary, clean comfortable & quiet room 203. Polite staff on the desk Excellent dinner in the reastaurant with delicious homemade soups & excellent choice at breakfast. Just a couple of small things:- Would have liked higher pillows on bed, no make-up tissues in bathroom...

Pienza is a magical medieval town. Hotel San Gregorio is half a block from the small walled town of Pienza. I was able to explore Pienza before breakfast each morning as the town was waking up to a new day. The Hotel is pleasant, comfortable, and the staff is very nice.

We stayed here for 5 nights and made many day trips to towns around Pienza. The hotel is located just across the road from the historic city center and is well kept and mantained. The pool is a little cold but the kids didn't mind after a hot day of sightseeing. We ate 3 times in the hotel restaurant and...

I've stayed at San Gregorio recently and found it a very nice and well run hotel, it's super convenient to visit the center of Pienza as it's literally 2 minutes from there on foot, the location is enhanced by the Hotel's underground parking lot which saves time by letting the guests park without spending time looking for a parking spot...

This hotel is in a large garden area and is part of a growing hotel complex. Another 40 room hotel is being built at present on site. The hotel has a lovely clean pool and huge waterfall urns added to this garden's appearance. The room was quiet, the air conditioner worked well. Parking was undercover. The room was accessed by...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our two week stay in Italy. We chose this hotel because it had rooms large enough to accommodate our family of two adults and three young children, and it had a pool! We loved Pienza and enjoyed being so close to the village. The rooms were basic but clean and spacious....

San Gregorio is very nice hotel in a beautiful small Renaissance town. Pienza has great food and wine including the best pecorino cheese that you will ever find. The hotel is on a flat area right by the wall of the town so everything is very conviently located.
