We returned once again to Il Chiostro di Pienza for a couple of reasons; Pienza itself is a darling tiny medieval village and it makes a good base from which to explore southern Tuscany, including the famed wine villages of Montepulciano and Montalcino, plus it is easy to get into and out of compared to the foregoing towns. Unfortunately, Il...

Although we stayed in this hotel only for one nigt, I have a lot to say about! Starting from friendly service, architecture (amazing yard), interior that is so cozy. The hotel itself does not feel as ordinary hotel. It felt like we were living in the castle. During the breakfast, we had a very nice view (for that you have...

Staying here for 1 week. Booked through Citalia. Swimming pool not in use so this applies to sun beds also. Today at 4.30pm no service for drinks on the Terraza. Oh dear! Hope next week's venue doesn't let us down. Fortunately rooms ok tho breakfast is nothing to write home about.

We loved our stay here. Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet. The facilities were excellent and there was plenty of room to spread out and relax. The grounds were beautiful. Very helpful staff. We would stay here again. Pienza is a wonderful base for touring.

The hotel is set in an old Nunnery and, being inside a walled city really has a quaint medieval feeling to it. Our room was great with excellent view across the Tuscan hill sides. The breakfast is also good for Italy, with quite a good selection and really friendly and helpful staff. If you are staying here the Post office...

We stayed here for two nights with a group, so didn't get to choose our room. Pretty basic (former convent after all), with tiny box shower (no tub) with clumps of previous guest's hair and towels so threadbare they had rips in them. One of our friends had mold on her shower curtain. Small window that opened was nice for...

We stayed at Il Chiostro as part of a tour of Tuscany. The hotel grounds and location are beautiful with views from the terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills. Best views in Pienza. The room was large, but oddly shaped. A very narrow sitting room leading to the bedroom. The windows were very high up the wall making it feel a...

We looked for an old authentic hotel in a small tuscany village to feel intensively the local athomosphere. So we found the Relais Il Chiostro, which was build in the 15th century as a monastery. The inner courtyard shines quite, the garden with an impressive view to the tuscany hills is very awesome and the rooms make you feel hundreds...

We were very excited about staying here. We were in the newer part of the hotel. The room was fine. When we looked out the window and turned our heads we saw the magnificent view - and loved this. There was some grandness to the hotel in the communal areas. Breakfast was basic. The coffee was served by a nice...

I would like to start my review by giving all the great points about this hotel. The view over the landscape from our room was breathtaking and Pienza itself was our favourite town on the entire holiday with so many great restaurants to choose from we know that we didn't get to them all! The hotel itself was a completely...
