We stayed at Casale Di Villore for a week in May, and it couldn't have been better. Antonio is a wonderful host, and was very helpful, providing maps, restaurant recommendations, and answering questions as needed. The property is beautiful, and the views are amazing. The area is rural, and is very peaceful, and is only about 10 minutes from town....

We had a great stay here in May. The views are amazing. The apartments were beautiful. Great views out of every window. Sitting on the terrace overlooking the valley of vineyards and olive trees below and all the castles, towers, and villas on the hill tops for miles was just breathtaking. Antonio made dinner reservations and suggestions for us on...

We met up with another family and used Casale di Villore as a base to head out on day trips. The pool - my favourite - was incredible and the grass and olive trees surrounding the pool were perfect as we were trying to escape a heat wave of 40C. The room was tastefully finished and very comfortable. We tumbled...

Having spent a week there in the fall I concur with pretty much all the previous reviewers. The location is fantastic, the flats decorated with taste, the owner very welcoming and helpful. The value was also excellent. If you are looking to move around in Tuscany, I would also emphasize the importance of being near the Firenze-Siena superstrada. Recommended without...

We have just returned from spending 3 weeks at Casale di Villore, we loved it so much that we have already booked for a week in October and for 3 weeks again next summer! We discovered it while on our previous visit to Castellina in Chianti, as it was recommended by a favourite vineyard of ours, Casa Emma. We booked...

Casale di Villore in Poggibonsi, Italy was an absolutely stunning Tuscan villa! Our large apartment there was rustic (I believe it was built in the 12th century) but well appointed with antiques, original paintings as well as modern Italian furnishings. Our apartment had three levels plus a lower fourth level which was a small, stocked wine cellar. It could accomodate...

A very nice place, paceful, great hospitality and kindness from Antonio (the owner, the director, the guide, the adviser, the occasional pizzaiolo for his guests...); a quiet oasis between vineyards and olivetrees...great views of the Val d'Elsa Valley from the pool and quiet evenings drinking a good wine while you can see the marvellous sunset behind the San Gimignano towers....

We just got back from an 8 day trip to Italy. Before our trip, I had emailed with Antonio (the owner of the villas) about advice and directions from Rome. He gave me alternate directions so we could take a slightly more scenic route and ensured us we'd be okay driving. We stayed out of Rome with the car, so...

My family and I stayed in the Frantoio, an apartment that is separated from the main complex (but only by a private lane). It was private, spacious, and clean. The view from the pool is breathtaking, especially at sunset. We were surrounded by beautiful olive trees and vineyards. Il Casale is perfectly located in the heart of the Chianti Classico...
