This is a farmhouse in an olive grove just outside of Scandicci. It consists of several buildings. We were the only guests at this time. It is a very rustic place, lots of history with family portraits on the wall, antique furniture, wood beam ceilings, stone flooring, wall paintings, old window shutters, interesting faux painted walls imitating frescoes etc. Room...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Its an old family property from the early 19th century and you can clearly see that in both the buildings and furniture and the age of the vineyard and olive grove. Amazing that after all these years that most features are tradition (well the bathrooms are new!!). The food was great. The walk up...

We stayed here for a week. It is an authentic old family house with antique furniture. We were welcomed by Riccardo and we felt welcome. There are only 3-4 rooms, so we had the whole house to ourselves for a couple of days, which was a treat. Breakfast is biological and you get all sorts of things from the garden....

Hidden in the beautiful hills around Firenze the Poggio al Vento is situated amidst olive groves and vineyards. A picture out of a magazine, where you cannot imagine you’ll have a chance to look inside. A villa filled with “old and new” memories, a warm soul, good vibrations, lovely furniture, an impressive library, all this makes you feel at ease....
