We specifically booked a double room for 3 nights. On arrival we were told that our room had had to be changed to a family room as they had let all of the doubles. This was not acceptable due to the additional flight of stairs within the room itself that would have to be negotiated to reach the double bed...

Fabulous location - but the food was awful! My dinner looked as if it had been scraped out of the bottom of the dish and slapped on the plate. It had obviously been reheated in the microwave and was inedible. When I pointed out the food was unacceptable, the girls just laughed and said they didn't cook it! I would...

Went for dinner while visiting the UK, lovely setting but the food was nothing short of terrible. Vegetable lasagne, overcooked tastless and hardly a vegetable to be found in the "mush" that was served up. Not cheap and no apology from the waitress when we mentioned how bad the meal was. We wouldn't recommend this place to friends.

Myself and two friends on a walking holiday shared a family suite at this hotel. The decor is a bit dated but it was comfortable, clean and the service from the staff was polite and attentive. The views over the sea were great and the price wasnt too bad either.

The location is brilliant, the hotel has clearly seen better days but it has a bar, the rooms are clean and tidy with great views over the bay. The Ferry actually goes from the beach 100 yards away to Plymouth. Around a fine place to stay for the money

We had a one night stay in May which resulted in us spending the early hours with the fire alarm blaring with the residents unsure how to turn the alarm off and no staff on site ... Apparently the alarm had incorrectly gone off several times during the evening when there was a skeleton staff on site but none were...

most peaceful place to stay, no passing traffic, and right on the beach...... go to bed and wake up with just the sound of the sea.... the restaurant has excellent views, food and wines are reasonably priced, and food of a good standard However in line with the other reviews the hotel could do with a tidy up, and the...

There are lots of good views in this corner of Cornwall- and though the views from this place are stunning, it really isn't worth it in my opinion. It was the only place to eat in Cawsand on a Sunday evening, apart from the local pub, which we now wished we had stayed in. The warning signs were there when...

If I say the shower door fell off twice - and I was not a violent guest - and the television didn't work and the vegetable lasagne was accompanied by more chips than I eat in a month, you would be prepared for the worst. But replace all those conditions with an astounding view, wonderful moules mariniere and a lemon...

We had tried to book to stay in this hotel but they were fully booked. However, we went to their restaurant for dinner one evening. The setting is just lovely. It is not a big restaurant but there is more glass than walls so wherever you sit, you have a beautiful view of the bay. The food was faultless. I...
