We can't rate this high enough. The castle is off the beaten track and offers warm comfortable accommodation. The room was large with the most comfortable bed overlooking the countryside nearby. We had breakfast and a dinner in the main dinning room which was a lovely old room with portraits of ancestors around the walls. We had a full breakfast...

What can you say about staying in a 12th century castle? It was incredible, and reasonable, too. The owner/hostess, Candy Leslie, was one of the best things. She made us feel welcome, gave us a tour of the castle, including explaining Scottish history and the Leslie family history, and a brief tour of some of the Leslie Clan sites, since...

Like no other b&b we've ever stayed in, when we arrived we saw a rather down at heel but incredible house in extensive grounds. As we settled in, we warmed to it, looking at the pluses - very comfortable bed with spotless linen, a warm room*, hot water, dinner and breakfast served in a beautiful room surrounded by antiques and...

On our Schotland castle tour we found at the end of a small lane this charming country house where we felt as actually having stepped back in time to my grand mothers place. It looked like a castle and we felt like prinse and princes. The bedroom with 36 m2 and fireplace was one of the largest we ever had;...

Candy picked us up from station which was good of her and saved us on taxi fare. We took the taxi back and cost 15 pounds. When we arrived there was no heating on and we froze. The room did have several heaters but took ages to warm up. The dinning room fire was put on about 5pm so was...

My husband and I stayed at Warthill in May 2012 and had a wonderful time. The home is conveniently located and very homey. The Leslie's were wonderful hosts and their daughter Rose took very good care of us. Our reservation was confirmed and ready for us when we arrived and Rose cooked a lovely chicken dinner for us. The place...

We spent two wonderful nights in this stunning B&B. The setting is spectacular, the beds are comfortable (we lit the fire in our bedroom, which was lovely!) and the hosts are delightful. We will definitely be coming back!

Our visit to Warthill Castle was truly magical. We felt really privileged to be guests in a real castle that is also a home. We received a very warm welcome from our hostess Candida (and her wee dog), who kindly showed us around. Our room was lovely, large with a real fire, already set, and walnut half tester bed that...

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful 5 day break from London. It was the perfect base for our Castle exploration adventure. The house was a stunning period piece, faded in parts but this just added to the charm. Breakfast was delicious with the right amount of attention from Candy our hostess. We were invited to explore the grounds...

Although we enjoyed our stay there we feel that for the money there was a lot to be desired. Shower was not even connected. The second hand soap was discusting. The evening meal did not live up to what we were led to believe. The satnav does not send you there. There should be more details on the website and...
