We had a family celebration here last night and had a meal in the Green Lady restaurant. There are lots of positives about this place - the old style country house decor, leather sofas & armchairs in a cosy bar, excellent food (at least in the Green Lady restaurant) and so long as you don't mind the service being a...

This hotel is set in an idyllic surrounding. The staff could not be more helpful. We had the taster menu on each night of our stay (6 courses) it was different every night and delicious. We had a few days here touring and loved every minute.

It had been a long time since I last visited this hotel and was really looking forward to my overnight with my daughter and my friend. We had booked for the spa and the deal included 2 treatments, massage or facial and then manicure or pedicure. We arrived slightly early but our room was ready which was great. Lovely spacious...

Dear reviewer, Firstly thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I have now been in post as General Manger for six months and as you will see from all our comments generally we provide a very positive experience so naturally I am disappointed that elements of your stay...

Was really looking forward to a nice break a Thainstone House, as we have stayed at Crerar properties before, but was disappointed. Lots of little things added to us not enjoying ourselves. No biscuits, tissues in room, only 2 breakfast teabags. Had to send breakfast back as scrambled eggs were cold, chipped plates and empty condiments.Bar left unattended most of...

Dear reviewer, I am disappointed with the service and quality that you encountered during your stay. I would have been grateful if you could have raised this with a member of my management team during your stay as I can assure you all our guests should be made to feel welcome. My daughter and I had spa day last week. Uninterested staff - not that there were many about .....not really a spa. One of the male staff came wondering in the changing rooms, very unprofessional! No Elemis gift as promised. Shame as hotel itself is lovely, could be really nice. Won't be going back

Dear reviewer, Firstly please accept my apologies for your recent disappointing Spa day. The Spa has been extremely busy over the Easter holidays and the staff have been operating at full capacity, however this should not have impacted on your Spa experience. I have passed your feedback to Carly our Spa Manger who will raise this with the team in...

Had a spa day with a friend, lunch not up to standard, back massage left me in so much pain I had to go to the doctors and the free Elemis gift never arrived. Will not be going back. Very dissapointing

I have to say that I was a wee bit sceptical about revisiting this hotel. My daughter and I were there when the Crerar group took over and it wasn't the best experience! My husband and I also visited this hotel a few times in the past-pre Crerar days and it was a very homely hotel. On this occasion, my...

Just off the main road and yet felt like a country house hotel setting. Quality furniture and fittings throughout the hotel with lounge and main hall adding to that country house feel. Comfortable, spacious and well maintained room which would however benefit from a splash of colour to lift the neutral decor. Lovely bathroom with an antique feeling to it...

My aunty had her hen party at Thainstone House and she thoroughly enjoyed it, as did everyone else who came. The staff could not have been more friendly, approachable and accommodating. The venue, setting, food, spa and staff were all faultless. I would definitely recommend Thainstone House and spa to others. A massive thank you again to all the staff...
