For apparently the 10th year running (!) we stayed at Nethy Bridge over New years, and it was fantastic as ever. The hut is full of character and Richard did all he could to make the week as entertaining and fun as usual. Great accommodation, with room for 26 people and a good kitchen and dining area. Would highly recommend!

Providing accommodation is a two-way thing and we are very lucky to have such a fun and faithful group. When a business is appreciated it does make you want to go the extra mile. Thanks for the review - we shall look forward to next year!

We had a group of 12 adults visiting the Aviemore region for a stag weekend/bachelor party and we made a great decision to go with the Bunkhouse. Nethy Bridge is a nice quiet town, but handy for Aviemore. We pre-booked our travel with a local taxi/bus hire guy who picked us up and dropped us off in Aviemore over the...

Thanks very much Andrew for taking the time to leave a review. I know that Richard enjoyed your company and I am glad that our 'tame taxi' did well getting you about. I understand that you had a good time at La Taverna in Aviemore which does a Stag friendly buffet! I do hope that we shall see some of...

Richard and Patricia have "upped the game" with regards decor, following the sale of another property (lots of new/quirky bits on the walls and shelves etc.) and this has simply added to the ambience of a unique hostel that I already love. Please promise to NEVER modernise it !!

We were a family group staying in the Station House this last weekend and it was wonderful. Plenty of space, really well equipped kitchen and lots of things to do in the area. The Station House at first glance was an unusual venue, but the books, games, table tennis table, memorabilia and convivial host all made for a fantastic few...

How lovely that you enjoyed your time at Nethy Station. We know that we are a basic 2 star property by Tourist Board standards but we am to please with our service and quirkiness!

Our group of 17 adults and young people had a great tie as this cosy, warm, well-equipped hostel in Nethybridge. We have stayed at the Station House before but never the station itself. Great facilities for this group with so much to do at the place itself that some never left the premises the whole weekend. The rest of us...

It is always a pleasure to greet young people and we are always amazed at how many return as they get older. That is why we try to stay 'cheap and cheerful'!

Our group (~15 people) stayed at the Nethy Station on a weekend trip in January 2016. The bunkhouse is ideally located for outdoor activities in the Cairngorms with MTB trails in the nearby forest, and hiking or skiing a short drive away. The bunkhouse was clean and well equipped for a self-catering group. We were chuffed to discover a bookshelf,...

Thank you so much for your kind review. We really are grateful to those of you who take the time to let other people know what we do. We can't promise 'bubbly' every time - but if Richard is around he can usually find an excuse for something!

New Year in the Highlands had to be done so 26 or so of us decended into the larger of the two bunkhouses. The facilities were great and although the present owner had sold the property, he made us all feel very welcome as the last group to stay there. Nethy Station will still be there so will report back...

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review. You moved out of Nethy House 33 years to the day from when the first guest moved in! We shall look forward to seeing you back though I fear that you will never get that much space to yourselves again!

Stayed in the station once again for the annual UBMC trip to the Cairngorms. If you stay here it is very easy to see why our club has come here for so many years. Excellent amount of comfortable beds with enough different rooms to allow some guests a bit of added privacy. Kitchen is small, but is more than adequate...

Thanks for that! Richard enjoys his time with the groups and it is such a pleasure watching our regulars grow older! None of you will ever catch up with us - but you lot keep him young! I do hope that you will continue our long association and maybe we shall all retire together!

This bunkhouse was perfect for our trip (taking 50 students for an activity weekend). It was affordable, and well equipped for self catering. The bunkhouse supplied plenty of glasses/cooking utensils & pots/ plates and so on. The bar area allowed a good social atmosphere, facilitated by the ability to BYOB. We ordered laundry - everything was ready for our arrival....

We had our staff week away and enjoyed our time there. Plenty of space, friendly owners, clean and a great price! There is plenty to do around Nethy bridge and its a beautiful part of the country. This is perfect for big groups and would recommend it heartily.
