Amazing staff. We really enjoyed our stay here. Convenient for all of the major sites, yet still tucked a little out of the way. Although all the staff were great, a huge shout-out to Rob who's simply phenomenal. He was amazing with our little one, and Strathmore Hotels are lucky to have him, as he also works like a machine! The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, and shower works - All you need from a room. That being said, the loss of a star because the hotel is seriously dated, and is in desperate need of a refurb.

Hotel's Favourite
This is a charming hotel, with beautiful public spaces, roaring fires, thoughtful decor, a lovely restaurant and bar with a great and well priced menu and nice rooms. Our room had a fully refurbished bathroom and was cosy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and did their best to accommodate any requests. The breakfast was excellent and I would like to mention the lovely lady who co-ordinated breakfast. She did an amazing job, and is such an asset to the hotel. I would definitely return.

I found this hotel as I was trying to find somewhere to stay for the night as I had had to check out of a hotel in Aviemore where we had been booked to stay which was filthy short staffed crammed full and I didn’t want me or children to stay there . What a joy to walk through the doors of this hotel and to be met by 2 friendly staff members . They managed to allocate me a family room too . Our bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated . Having seen the other extreme in Aviemore my children were equally delighted mum this is lovely . We felt very safe throughout the hotel and clear signage everywhere reminding customers it’s one way . Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of food . Service was very quick staff were immaculately turned out and we felt very safe with the measures they took to ensure everything was clean . My children were disappointed we only stayed for 1 night as we only live an hours drive away . I promised them after we had our day in aviemore we would stop for dinner on the way home . We were bedraggled after a day at the loch and a holiday camp. We weee given a lovely table outside all the staff from breakfast greeted me and the children warmly asking how our day had been!! Our meal was delicious and although the hotel was busy it was the same great service . My children were very hungry and both ate 3 courses and said it was delicious. We are sad we only got to stay 1 night but delighted we are only an hour away so we can come back for a meal and stay again. Thanks to management and staff for their hard work and. Spotless hotel it’s a real gem of a hotel

15 minutes drive north of aviemore, my friend and I both agreed this was an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas. The hotel is lovely, the staff were excellent, so friendly. There's a one way system in place which was great. Our room was comfy and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was included in our stay , there was an excellent choice. We also had dinner there both nights . I will definitely visit again

I spent 2 nights at this hotel, easy check in , lift to the 2nd floor , the room I had was clean , tidy , it was a bit chilly when I arrived ( yes even jn june ) I turned the radiator up which soon warmed the room up. The bathroom was clean , the toilet seat was a bit wonky and there was a small hole in the shower hose not major issues. I had an evening mea and a breakfastl which was very good , the service was excellent. I have stayed in a few hotels recently the covid precautions and safe working practices at this hotel were probably the best I seen. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend
