La Créole Beach Hôtel & Spa is celebrated for its prime location close to picturesque beaches, offering an ideal base for both leisure and adventure. While the rooms are generally appreciated for their space and cleanliness, some guests have mentioned that there's room for improvement in maintenance and air conditioning. The service staff is lauded for their friendliness and professionalism, yet a few visitors have encountered disorganization. The amenities, including the beach and breakfast options, are well-regarded, although the value proposition is sometimes questioned due to high meal costs and additional charges. The hotel's lively atmosphere, complete with music and entertainment, is a highlight, though it may not suit those seeking tranquility.

We have visited this hotel three times with our family including 3 young kids.
The hotel is beautiful and the food is really good quality local influence and good value. The pool is lovely and the beach is picturesque and stunning.
However as frequent travelers there are some areas of improvement. The hotel needs to cater better to world travelers. For example kids club is only open on French school holidays. The service around the pool is minimal and you have to hunt for the man or go to the bar. Americans and UK people are willing to pay for good service as they are used to pool services
The AC and water doesnt work well and first day stopped in night.
The breakfast buffet is ok but not on par with other island hotels. The coffee is warm. I wouldn’t be motivated to eat dinner there but so many good places to eat outside
The jet skis service is really good.
I think the hotel has so much more potential to attract more worldwide travelers if a bit more research was done on other hotels in carribean.

Arriving late due to a delay in our flight, the restaurant had been closed for 3 minutes (!), impossible to get even a light meal, even though we were expected and on half board... It was a bit rough as welcome! For a 4-star establishment, I expected a better quality catering service: varied dishes but of average quality, no fruit or dairy products in the evening... The price of the New Year's Eve meals (Christmas and New Year's Day) was really prohibitive, there was no way to escape it except to eat outside! Furthermore, my bathroom towel was changed every day while the usual signs throughout the room encourage guests to save water and energy - there was no point changing it every day! The cleaning staff did not pay attention to this now important point for the planet, it was really wasteful. The VMC in the bathroom was very noisy at night. Mosquito repellent equipment would have been welcome. Quality of bedding and cleanliness completely correct.

I advise you to opt for the half board formula because otherwise meals at the buffet are 41 euros and on Sundays at 50 euros.
remember to book your massages quickly. I had the pleasure of alicia fairy fingers. the rest room is a bit sad without soft music, we could perhaps imagine installing a bright ceiling.
l hotel was full so I could not benefit from extending my room to 80 euros but the hotel provides a shower.
You can get advice in the hotel if you do not want to rent a car l hotel organizes excursions in small groups of 6 people or individually. I came across Ulrich twice, he loves his country taught us a few words in Creole. at the botanical garden he introduced us to plants.
the creole beach at a private beach. A deposit of 40 euros is required for the bath towel.
spacious room if you have the choice choose a room with sea view on the ground floor in order to have a small terrace.
in the morning enjoy breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea and the company of hens and birds singing but be careful not to leave your plate unattended

We stayed at this hotel in 2021 and were very pleased with both the kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and the surrounding area. For these reasons we have chosen the hotel again.
Unfortunately, the hotel has changed a lot for the negative during our current stay.
We already got the feeling of only disturbing at the reception and were treated snooty and snappy. We arrived at 11:30 a.m., and our rooms were only ready from 4 p.m. There was no effort to provide us with the rooms before.
When we could move into our room after waiting 4 hours, the floor was still completely wet and still dirty.
In the bathroom, all the terry towels were missing, and my wife fished out three thick portions of hair from the bathtub drain. Asked about it at the reception, the employee just asked what to do with it now. Regarding the terry towels, she said only that she was informing the governess. No distress and no apology.
The terry towels were delivered to us after half an hour! I used one of these cloths to dry the floor so we could move around the room. The cloth was dirty grey afterwards and no longer usable, so dirty was the wet floor!
The swimming pool and sun loungers were fine and well maintained and also the beach was well maintained.
The staff of the Bar Rhumerie and the beach bar Yureli were all very uninterested and unmotivated, one felt here again only as a disturbing element. In addition, some offers of the beverage and menu were not available.

In contrast, the staff at the restaurant "route des épices" were very pleasant and friendly, and the food was very good, both the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet.

On the last day we would have liked to book a late checkout as our transfer to the airport was only planned in the evening. But we should have paid 90 euros for these 5 hours, which in our view is completely overpaid. In 2021, we were able to use the rooms longer at no extra charge. We were allowed to use the salle de transfert with shower and toilet for free.

All in all, the hotel is no longer up to par as we experienced it in 2021, and the value for money is no longer satisfactory. We were very disappointed.

I was here for a week in March with my mother, so it's a bit late review, but hopefully still helpful. I loved our stay! Everything was great, our room was nice and clean, fresh towels and bed sheets regularly and also bathrobes. The bed was huge and very comfy, two people could sleep on it just fine without kicking themselves at night. Bathroom was good, it would be nice to have some hand soap holder next to the sink because it was always wet, but that's just a minor thing.

On the first day, we had some issue with water leaking from the ceiling, we told the staff and they checked it and needed to fix it, so they gave us new room (in same category) right away, everything was sorted out very quickly in like an hour, which was great and we really appreciated it. We had the room with sea view and it was really worth paying for, I loved the view and the location, it was just few steps to the beach.

Beach looks small but is big enough for everyone, water was so clear and warm. Hotel staff would clean the beach every day so the sand was also spotless. There are enough sunbeds and you can get beach towels for a deposit. There are all kinds of animals in the garden and by the beach - iguanas and lizards and lots of different birds. You can book some trips and excursions directly on the beach, nice lady booked a water taxi to the nearby island of Gosier for us.

The food was also great and there was quite a lot of variety, I really liked the local cuisine, lots of fruits and vegetables and desserts were amazing. Breakfast was good and I really liked the fresh juices and loved the yoghurt. There were also themed dinners like sea food and creole food. There were welcome cocktails and dancers on the beach in the evening, which was also very nice, then some rhum tasting etc.

The concierge was so kind and helpful. Special thanks to Manuela who was so kind and helped us book an amazing boat trip to see whales and dolphins! By the way, most of the staff speaks English and if they did not, they were very patient with our basic knowledge of French language. I would definitely come back, even though Guadeloupe is very far away from my home! Thank you everyone at La Creole Beach!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you and your mother had such an enjoyable stay with us in March. It’s fantastic to know that you appreciated your room, the beach, and the local cuisine, as well as the attentiveness of our staff. We are especially glad that our team was able to quickly resolve the water leak issue in your room and provide you with a new room without delay. Your appreciation for their responsiveness means a lot to us. We’re also happy that you were able to enjoy the beautiful beach, the excursions, and all the activities, including the themed dinners, welcome cocktails, and evening entertainment. It’s wonderful to know that Manuela’s assistance in booking the boat trip made your experience even better! Your feedback about the hand soap holder in the bathroom is duly noted, and we will look into this to ensure all details are in place for our guests' convenience. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. We hope to welcome you back to La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa for another fantastic stay, even from far away!

Very unhappy
The value for money is not worth it.
Pay 250€ for a room so that it is filled with ants whether it is the bedroom or the bathroom.
I find it limiting.
The restaurant in the evening nothing extraordinary..
the only positive point was the breakfast..
No commercial gesture from the staff despite a room full of insects while we had no food in the room... In this case, do better cleaning to possibly remove the crumbs of food from the previous people.
I would NOT recommend the hotel to those around me.
Damage.

Desk agent Jean should not work in hospitality if he does not like Americans. This was a very bad first impression of the Hotel and the country and on our 30th wedding anniversary. We went to the front desk to ask for extra towels and he argued with us for 10 minutes about why we don't need extra towels since there are only 2 of us and that housekeeping would be mad and argue with him if he asked them. We have travelled a lot and never experienced such a thing, even at one star hotels, they will give you extra towels without arguing. Once we finally got him to call housekeeping, they did not argue with him and they brought the towels quickly. The breakfast staff was not too keen on being helpful to Americans either (we just saved our tip money to be used elsewhere and decided that we shoud not eat at any of the resturants on site at the hotel). Reading in advance of our trip, there were reports about the island in general not being welcoming to American tourists. However, I would not expect that at the hotel, of all places. We had a rental car and travelled to all parts of the island. Everybody else was nice to us even though we were Americans. They even seemed pleased that they got to practice English. It is ironic that the hospitality indistry was not nice to us, but every body else was. The off site Casino staff was even nice to us (which were were warned about not going to because they hate Americans at the Casino). We did not get any sleep there as the insect noises outside kept us up all night. The parking at the hotel was a complete disaster. You need parking passes for hotel guests only (and tow all others). Everybody parks there to go to the Casino and nearby resturants since the entrance is often unattended and the hotel does not issue parking passes to guests. The half door on the shower is a bad idea as water gets out everywhere. At first, they refused to honor the price that was quoted on their website when we made the reservation. The reservation said we were guarenteed that rate when we arrived and paid. They argued with us a bit rying to say that it was a different website (such as Expedia) and they are not responsible, but the front desk manager finally agreed with us when we showed him the document we printed ahead of time from thier website. The room was nice and we liked the patio in the back. The staff at the beach bar was welcoming and helpful.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for your stay and for having taken the time to share your impressions. It is regrettable that, due to pre-readings you got, you suppose false and insulting behaviour of our team and Guadeloupean people in general, and this based on nationality. Also, Trip Advisor already removed your first review for inappropriate content. Anyway, we are sorry to read that your experience at the hotel did not meet your expectations. This is the first time we receive such comment about our colleague. We have talked to him. Be assured that this is not representative of our welcoming values. It could be also more productive for us if you could avoid the pseudo and publish your real name. This allows us to update your profile in case of next stay and better follow your past and future experience. Nevertheless, it is pleasant to know that you enjoyed your travel by discovering Guadeloupe. Kind regards, Vincent Waltregny Hotel Manager

15-day stay in August 2023:

Every morning we were woken up by the cleaning ladies who, despite the closed latch on our door, knocked at 9 a.m.... No initiative was taken to replace the soap/shampoo when it was finished. You have to ask.. Once we vacated the room around 12 p.m. the cleaning was not done but my soap was replaced: crazy... For a 4 star this is not acceptable.
The parking lot is always full and there is no area reserved for hotel guests...
The staff is not very welcoming.
The room is large and with the kitchenette it allows you to live independently. The air conditioning works and the bedding is good.

I expected more from this hotel. The window was broken when we arrived which I am sure the cleaning ladies must have seen because they clean the terrace daily. I wouldn't mind so much if the gap wasn't 10 cm's big and loads of mosquitos came in this way. They sent somebody quite quickly to fix it which I felt they should have done before we checked in. This man was friendly and tried to fix it to the best of his abilities (kudos to him!). He was supposed to come back on Monday but I didn't see anybody after the weekend. The airconditiong was so filled with dust that it barely blew any cold air in the room so during the night we were sweating like crazy. After 2 days it also began leaking all over the floor.
I expected much more from this hotel because we were so impressed when we arrived because of the luggage service (kudos to them!) and the building, services they offer, private beach, ... It turned out to be a huge dissapointment.
Breakfast is great, really good though they are understaffed so the tables are never cleared before you sit down. We didn't mind so much but getting the attention of the ladies to come and clean your table while they are overwhelmed is quite difficult.
Zawag restaurant was also really good! Very friendly waiters.
Another thing we were quite dissapointed about was the BBQ on the beach. When we arrived the lady from the reception made lots of buzz about it and got us really excited. When arriving at the restaurant and trying to book, we found out it was already fully booked for 5 days in advance so when you are only staying for 5 days you don't get to eat there, which did not amuse me in the slightest. Communiciation between beach/restaurant and reception was not great.
Private beach was really nice and the bar in the hotel is also good. They were very friendly!
Also big, big kudos to the woman from the helpdesk who aided us in booking our trips, she was really nice and took the time to advice us and book several trips for us.

Facade of the hotel unattractive, impression which disappears as soon as you enter. Room which needs real maintenance especially bathroom (shower button which remains in the hand); we had to ask for bath towels 3 times (no towel for showering after the beach in the late afternoon)
On the other hand, restaurant: top! Congratulations to the chef who delighted us throughout the stay!
friendly staff except at YURELI and the distribution of beach towels

I would not stay there on a bet. It's a classic 'bait and switch' operation, with appealing photos on the website and a dramatically different reality. It's crowded, and the beach is postage-stamp size. It reminded my wife and me of a beached cruise ship.
