The Karibea Beach hotel is beautifully positioned and has a lively beach adjacent. The breakfasts were excellent though it was a battle every morning to try to persuade the staff to produce a cup of decaf coffee! The room had superb views across the bay and was ample size. The main problem was the bathroom. Although cleaned every day it never felt or smelt as if it has been touched at all! There was definite unwholesome smell in there all the time and this was disappointing and off putting. Also it has to be said that there is a lack of provision for getting snacks during the day. The lunch and evening meals were expensive so we went out into surrounding area for food each night. It would have been useful to be able to get a baguette or cake somewhere on the site however.
Beautiful position and beach but.......

Firstly this hotel complex is huge, I checked in at reception and was given very vague directions to the block I was situated in. Of which I got lost, in a resort like this there should be some sort of map or better signage to find your room failing that if someone cant understand your directions due to poor english then get off you bottom and show me. Anyway I found it.... the rooms are extremely basic, there is no headboard on the bed there are no tea and coffee making facilities (i know this is a very british thing but still in other countries they have cottoned onto this idea). There is no facilities for ice for the room there is no bottled water in the room. The toiletries are ok but on dispensers bolted to the wall. The only food outlet in the evening is the bar on the beach this is ok but waiter again no english (as if) I ordered a starter and main course and he missed out my starter so annoying for me a lost income for the hotel food was ok, you have a lot of restaurants nearby which you can walk to much better, Food in the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very good and fresh staff excellent in the buffet restaurant. The only thing I didn't like in the buffet were the birds which even eat off the buffet I know this is also the perch above where you're eating which i didnt like or find hygenic, just keep the doors shut!

Dear Alastair, We thank you for your comment following your stay in our residence. We are very disappointed to know that your stay did not meet your expectation. We take note of your encountered inconveniences, but regret that this happened to you. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed our restaurant, and the offered breakfast and dinner. We are already working on equipping a courtesy tray in the room (coffee, tea, water) Hoping you will not remain on this negative impression; we will be happy to welcome you back in our Zenitude Residence.

Accommodation for business travel by recommendation from the management of my international client to accommodate me comfortably.
Arrival already disrupted by the fact that the quote is 10 euros cheaper than billing in advance for accommodation...
The very friendly receptionist this day (Saturday) told me to call me back after questioning the management... First wait not answered.
Pleasant room with air conditioning in good condition but with no kettle or coffee maker (abnormal for a hotel of so-called this level...)
But maybe it's to force you to pay for a coffee at the bar at 3 euros for a small coffee!!
Second day, after a pleasant breakfast as it was complete and well stocked, return to the room at 7:30 a.m. to leave at 7:40 a.m. and depending on the expected traffic jams, arrive at 8:30 a.m. to start the training of management participants. Problem, door blocked and electronic card not working.
I'll skip the details but it took more than an hour of repair attempts to get the right advice from the technicians' computer to open it, finally!!
Result, arriving at 8:50 a.m. for training with a delay to justify, people who were worried about the punctuality of the trainer.
Under these conditions, it would be normal to make a commercial gesture to compensate for the stress and the image generated.... Nothing except a free evening buffet... A good commercial practice would have been to invite each evening of the remaining three evenings of stay or a discount on the invoice... This is what quality hotels do...
Finally, three abnormal points:
1/ There are sticks for the environment specifying, as in several hotels, that if we want to preserve the planet... we can keep the same towels by hanging them up or by leaving them on the floor for a change...
Every day I hung up my shower towel and every day it was changed...why???
2/ Wifi is terrible... no possibility in the room to connect sufficiently to work or communicate and even less for streaming... Apparently this is a known fact and in the same way, television is impossible to follow because mosaic half the time and frequent stops, even missing image... Intolerable for a hotel....
3/ Finally, it's charming to have roosters and chickens roaming all over the hotel's lawns. But when the roosters, every night, stay in the central square and grow their roosters ALL night... with the resonance, it prevents you from sleeping and this is absolutely not normal for a hotel in which you pay to rest. ...
In summary, I do not recommend this hotel and will inform my client's management to avoid sending service providers or group managers for a comfortable stay. Too bad it could be much better because the breakfast is great, the dinner buffet is decent for the price and the staff are averagely pleasant (especially the lady at the restaurant, professional and charming. Thanks for her)... Not thanks for the hotel management, informed of my setbacks, and who "kicked in"....

Hotels in guadeloupe is generally quite expensive and we find this hotel very good value for money (Eur 120 per night including breafast for the three of us). We stayed in the salako building. The room is quite old and the aircondition drips water. Evening entertainment was boring and loud . BUT, the location was really good. Hotel has its own beach with fine white sand. We did not need to drive to other places. there was also a short cut along the beach to a ferry stop (less than 10 minutes walk) that can get you to the super nice small island ilet du gosier. Sea view from our balcony was very nice. The restaurant where breakfast is served is right by the sea - always feels so good to start the day with nice views. We ate buffet dinner there once which was good. also tried the a la carte restaurant on site which was not good at all. Within very short walk there are other nice options for dinner. Remember this is a low key 3 star hotel - you get what you pay for - the beach and the view made up for the old room facilities.

The hotel is peaceful with its own beach, with free sun loungers, a water sports kiosk and beautiful views. The pool is small, but clean and very pretty, with comfortable sun loungers looking out over the sea and the wonderful views. All the communal areas of this hotel were well decorated and clean, it felt like a lovely resort.

The rooms were not in the same vein though, we had a room in the first building, it was very sparse, with a weird side balcony. We asked for extra pillows which came quickly, but should have asked for extra towels too, as they were tiny.
The curtains and throw pillows looked new, and certainly went some way to brighten the place up, but they need to go a step further to make it feel inviting and comfortable.

We were only there for 1 night, so didn't bother to complain, but the room wasn't really cleaned properly and the maid let herself in the next morning to catch me naked... i don't even know why she would be trying to come in, as we were checking out that day.

A small shop and a few restaurants were just a 2 min walk away and we enjoyed a nice meal and picked up some bits at the shop that opened late, it was very convenient.

I would consider staying here, if i planned to be out all day, either enjoying relaxing at the hotel pool / beach or out exploring, but not if i was spending any amount of time in the room.

Hotel very well located with direct access to the beach. Several restaurants nearby.
Housekeeping is done regularly and it is very clean. It would be nice to have a coffee maker and kettle. Wifi is present in the rooms and restaurants, but very random in the rooms.
We had lunches included; but it was very questionable. Simple dishes (omelettes, sausages) were often missing. In addition, the presence of birds inside the restaurant is frankly unpleasant.
The bar is very pretty, the service is excellent and the menu satisfactory, but the presence of chickens and roosters on the terrace is very unpleasant. There are also some in the main hall. Not worthy of a 4 star.

One thing's for sure... we're not coming back.
On arrival we were well received.
The Inn is old, the rooms need a good touch of paint, the furniture does not talk about it. Help, even bedding and linen are to be reviewed...
The first evening we noticed that the Pension was noisy. We did not complain.
The second and third night were shabby, the noise made by Netball players got the better of us.
We complained to the staff at 00:30, but no one moved to fix the problem.
Members of the sports team were banging on our door , shouting and laughing loudly, we called the reception and then we moved to tell them that something really needed to be done.
In the end nothing was done. The next morning we complained to the 2 receptionists present and guess what?
They didn’t care, to remain polite....
In short, all this to tell you that it is better to pass your way.
We left this place not at all zen...
You're going to have to take a little more account of your customers.
Train your staff, that’s the minimum, ladies and gentlemen.
“You, the staff, do not forget that if this Pension closes, you will find yourself on the square, and your sulking mines with, the people in question will recognize themselves.
Good hearing...

The area is pleasant but good luck if you come across the rooms on the 1st floor, seen on the parking lot a pleasure..!
Also the staff at the reception of the restaurant are unpleasant, a shame because the breakfast is plentiful (at the same time at 21€…)
Bathroom full of mold, however the rooms are well cleaned every day so thank you to the cleaning staff.

Everyone was helpful and polite. If you are handicapped, be aware that you have to carry your luggage up a long winding driveway which was closed to all but deliveries. The breakfasts are excellent with many choices. Across from the hotel are a number of excellent restaurants. If you are coming on a holiday, reserve your table at the hotel in advance--we did not do that for Christmas Day, not being aware.
