Friendly staff who gave suggestions and surprised us with a complimentary cooked breakfast. Cosy and clean and I would encourage people to give it a try - Stratford is a small town, nice to be out of the way

We stopped at this Lovely motel in May 2016. We were welcomed by a lovely friendly lady and shown our unit along with milk and a bar of chocolate for weary travelers. The accommodation was so clean. The beds comfortable and a choice of blankets or a doona which was very much appreciated. Not everyone likes heavy doonas or quilts....

Day three of our short driving tour of the western region of the North Island brought us from Whanganui, up to New Plymouth and to a stop in Stratford at the Broadway Lodge. Certainly one of the better appointed Motels we found and the super large double bed was the very definition of comfort. A cold chicken, salad, beer and...

Stayed for 3 nights at Broadway and we had a great time. Faye, the new owner is wonderful and very sweet and accommodating. The rooms are quite clean and well maintained. We had a 2 bedroom corner unit and it was an ample sized room with all the amenities we needed. Faye went out of her way to make us...

Despite its initial view from the street (1960's build), the motels have been refurbished to a very nice standard. The unit we had was very well presented, clean and tidy with newish fittings. Fully self-contained and quite well laid out. Sky Tv. The Asian lady at reception was very accommodating and helpful. Nice stay!

We stayed one night and needed a 2 bedroom as we have twins and the nice lady at the front office had exactly what we needed. She was also very helpful and kind. Room was very clean and tidy. Anything extra we needed she was quick to supply:-). Would very much like to stay with her again.

This Motel is very tidy and neat. The rooms are presentable and while they don't have very little thing you could want as you would find in most cities I think that adds to the charm that this Motel gives off. Staff are extremely nice and outgoing. This Motel is run very well and if you need information or something...

“Although it is close to a railway line and main road, noise has never been a problem, probably they have double glazing.”

“The motel is located on main road. We were in room three and whilst it was not particularly noisy, would suggest three and higher will be quieter.”

“With all the construction and oil rig work going on in Taranaki overnight accommodation around $100 - $130 seems to be at a premium. Pays to ring round and book and not just turn up. With accommodation at the $100 - $130 price-range at a premium in Taranaki area it pays to book or telephone around ahead of travelling rather than hope for a vacancy.2222222222222”
