Stayed here as part of a wedding party. Had one of the feature rooms in the main house which was spotless clean (as is everywhere) and spacious. Super comfy bed, loads of fresh towels, couldn't fault the room. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Service at breakfast was a little slow but to be fair the place was...

Dear Simon F, Many thanks for your review following your recent stay at Highbullen, I trust that you had a wonderful day at the Wedding. I was sorry to read that breakfast service was a little slow the following morning. While Sunday breakfast service remains one of the great challenges of the hospitality industry, fifteen minutes to get a cup...

We booked two nights to cover my birthday and we were well pleased. The service throughout was very good nd as luck would have it, because there was a party in, we were upgraded to a 'superior' room-No 46. The package also included a bottle of Proseco in our room. What a welcome! The first night we dined in the...

We had a travelzoo deal with dinner, bed & breakfast, prosecco & golf - couldn't fault for the price we paid. Friendly staff, good facilities & nice food. Slightly remote location but worth it for the views. Would return.

We staying here whilst filming for a TV show, and we loved every moment. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, the staff are so welcoming, so freindly and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurants was amazing, delicious and couldn't be faulted. The grounds are fabulous and the views spectacular. The room was more...

We have been visiting this hotel for the last 15 years and seen many changes. Whilst it is pleasing to see that it has now achieved an official 4 star rating and won several awards, that is offset by the fact that there are still significant areas for improvement. I commented last year that the house keeping fell short and...

Visited courtesy of Travelzoo offer. Stayed for 2nights. Very narrow lanes on the approach but well worth it. Impressive buildings and grounds. We were in the separate cottage at the bottom of a steep hill. Great for Fitbit wearers! Beautiful views. Dear SouthamptonLynne, Many thanks for your review and great to read that you had an enjoyable stay. Tell your daughter that the outdoor pool is heating up nicely; you will have to bring her back for a swim while the sun is shining - and maybe an ice-cream at the poolside as well! We look forward to welcoming you back,...

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in the lovely Devon countryside then it would be difficult to top the Highbullen hotel. The small number of rooms gives it that personal touch which adds to the atmosphere. Food was OK although we did use the more relaxed cellar bar menu perhaps there are better offerings in the main restaurant....

Dear 717Steve, Thanks for your review following your recent stay, and again my apologies for the slightly odd request to change buggies half way through your round.
