The Fitz, hostel located in a historical house in the Bruce Penisula, offers you all you need. The Bruce Trail is accessible within walking distance. The owner provide you with a ton of information about what to do in the area. If you are looking for a cozy and friendly place to stay, this is it!

We were very comfortable in the room with the double bed and shared bathroom facilities. The place was clean. We enjoyed sharing the kitchen facilites with our friends, and had great hiking adventures on the Bruce Trail with this hostel as our base. Highly recommended!

The Fitz hostel was as a peaceful house for me.
It is near the Bruce trail with a beautiful lookout and near a beach that makes it a great place to stay.
You can chill outside in a hammock or eat a BBQ. Inside you can play your own music and chill at the couch. There is a clean kitchen and washroom that makes it complete.

Also the host is very nice and brought my to other places with the cool van she has.

I stayed here on Canada Day long weekend with three friends and had an amazing time! The owner, Megan, was incredibly friendly and gave us the 'local' low-down of the Bruce Peninsula which we found so helpful! Her hostel was clean, spacious, and the attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. Somethings I especially loved were: the hot delicious coffee in the mornings, wild flower bouquets all over the house, sitting in the sunny backyard & evening hang outs! We felt like we were staying at a good friend's cottage. I will definitely make plans to return again!

Cute little hostel (fits 10 guests) with adorable staff. It was a last minute reservation and they accommodated me very well. It's clean, organized, very pleasant. Recommended for travelers that want to explore the Bruce Peninsula area!

My friend and I had a great stay at the Fitz Hostel. As budget travelers, we were so happy to find a hostel in the Bruce Peninsula! We stayed at the Fitz Hostel on Canada Day’s long weekend. The Fitz is perfectly located in the heart of the Peninsula in the adorable village of Lion’s Head. The hikes around the hostel are simply spectacular and we also enjoyed the fact that it was close enough to go scuba diving in Tobermory! The staff wasn’t around much during our stay, but it was easy to find all the information we needed on the boards in the lobby. The personal touches (towels, makeup remover, local soaps, etc.) is always something I appreciate in an accommodation, it felt like the hostel was truly run with love and care! Nothing super fancy, but I recommend it for budget travelers looking for a peaceful stay in the Peninsula!

I absolutely loved the Fitz Hostel. Everything was in very good shape, the bedrooms have comfortable beds, clean sheets, blankets and pillows, very charm living room, great kitchen, I cooked a full meal for the guests and enjoyed it very much.
Eva and Megan were perfect hosts and gave me a 5 stars travel support.
I recommend the Fitz Hostel and for sure will go back.

We loved the Fitz Hostel where we booked the double room for 3 nights and had a great stay. The hostel feels as though Megan, the owner, has created it with thoughtfulness and love - which I'm sure she did! Besides being really comfortable, welcoming, spotlessly clean, small and having good facilities, there is a real commitment to the local community and the environment, which we liked a lot. Thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay on the beautiful Bruce Peninsula.

The Fitz Hostel is a beautifully renovated century home in Lion's Head featuring an special ambiance with creative touches throughout. Ideal for those who love traveling and meeting people, the Fitz offers comfort and community. The private room with its original plank wood flooring overlooks the backyard which in the evening is a peaceful oasis with the hanging lights. The bed is superbly comfortable; the shared washroom features two separate large toilets and two separate shower stalls; all completely fresh and clean. Downstairs is the communal kitchen and living room, large rooms perfect for reading, relaxing, listening to music. The backyard features a fire pit for making fires and there's also a BBQ and picnic table. On certain dates Megan offers free musical concerts in the backyard. Located just a few steps from the Bruce Trail, food store, library and restaurants, the Fitz also provides parking for guests. The reception foyer features a large blackboard detailing all the events taking place on the Peninsula. There is also all kinds of information available to take away. My recommendation is to book as early as possible; the Fitz has only been open for a couple of months, but I predict it will be completely full next summer. And I will be returning! Google Fitz Hostel for more information.

Staying at this hostel is like visiting your best friend's cottage - it's got everything you could need in a gorgeous part of Ontario. The host is generous as well as knowledgeable of the area, she gave us lots of great local tips and fostered an awesome, welcoming atmosphere. It's also super clean!! We can't wait to go back in the fall or the winter :)
