Detailed Reviews
Marcus and I couldn’t have selected a better place to spend 3 days during this last long weekend other than stay at Taylor-Made Bed & Breakfast with Doug and Daiana. This lovely couple hosted us with so much care and good conversation that I felt like not leaving the place anymore. The bedroom and the washroom were incredibly clean and well decorated. Doug and Daiana provided us a delicious breakfast in a cozy place. The breakfast area and the entire stay were totally prepared for social distance and we had hand sanitizer all over the place what made us feel completely safe. We want to thank you both for this incredible experience we had with you. We definitely will be back! Anira and Marcus.

We have stayed at Taylor Made Bed and Breakfast several times when hiking the Peninsula section of the Bruce Trail and have always enjoyed a positive experience so when we were making plans for our first venture away from home since the start of the pandemic, it was an easy decision to choose Lions Head and Taylor Made. Doug and Diana are outstanding hosts and it was clear from the moment we arrived that they have risen to the challenge of Covid-19 and are doing everything they can to provide a safe and comfortable environment for their guests. As usual, the house was spotless, the breakfast was delicious and the hospitality warm and welcoming. Thanks again Doug and Diana!

My wife and I stayed two nights at Taylor made and it was everything they advertised. Diana, and Doug were a quiet couple who met us at the door and welcomed us into a very quiet and cosy home with several rooms set up for their guests. We had room #5 at the back side of the house, several back yard facing windows allowed for tons of natural light and serene sounds of nature to enter the space when the windows were open. Our room was a comfortable size for two adults and had its own three piece bathroom, and was ajoined to the common living room area set up for all guests with couches and chairs and entertainment setup including a fridge and coffee maker. Our hosts were quick to get us set up and get us familiar with the amenities of the house and surrounding area and take our breakfast order for the morning before leaving us to do our thing without impedance where we unpacked and settled in. We went for a small walk around the water front and called it a night where we slept quite soundly in their very quiet neighborhood. We woke to a home made breakfast prepared by the couple filled with homemade breads and a variety of healthy food that was delicious as they answered all of our questions about the area and shared stories. We then walked about 20 or so minutes to the head of the lions head trails and started our hiking day complete with a homemade lunch prepared by Diana and Doug. This was a great B&B and we would recommend it to anyone looking to take it easy between hiking days in the lions head area.

We stayed at Taylor-Made for a couple nights in October 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Doug and Diana were wonderful hosts, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was safe and comfortable. The breakfasts were scrumptious, and after hiking each day we came back to delicious homemade cookies. Our room was super clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The B&B is in a great location in Lion's Head. We would love to come back one day! Highly recommend.

We arrived at the B&B and were greeted by the hosts Diana and Doug who showed us our room complete with comfortable bed, spacious room and all the nice amenities. We tied the knot at Taylor Made so it was appropriate returning 13 years later since we got married on Friday the 13th.
Breakfasts were served hot with fresh ground coffee, juice and fresh fruit. We needed to leave earlier on our two nights stay to catch the ferry to Manitoulin, so our hosts prepared a boxed meal for us to enjoy on our voyage and continuing journey to Gore Bay.
We were treated as royals by Doug and Diane who made sure that our stay was the best ever. We highly recommend Taylor Made B&B for the location, breakfasts and the wonderful hosts who bent over backwards to accommodate our needs.

This B&B is ideally located for exploring the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula, with everything from Tobermory to Wiarton within easy driving distance. The house is situated at the end of a very quiet court, yet it's only a short 5 minute walk to the nearby shops and restaurants of Lion's Head. It has 4 guest rooms, but the owners never rent more than 2 rooms at a time. My wife and I were there for a full week in August 2024, and we had the place to ourselves. This included a common area equipped with TV and fridge that was right outside our room, giving us plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Breakfasts were delicious, and our hosts Doug and Dianna went out of their way to ensure our time there was wonderful. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Tobermory, without paying the inflated prices charged for staying in Tobermory itself. Book this and you'll be very happy you did!

This is the place to stay for so many reasons. I am celiac and so is Diana our host. She makes “Thee best” GF waffles I have ever had. I had one 3 of our 4 mornings there. Plus muffins that look and taste like bakery muffins. A huge breakfast that kept us going on all our adventures. (She also makes food for you non GF folks). My room was quite large with everything I needed. Note in room 2 the wall plug by the bed which I used for charging my phone works off the light switch. I found the bed firmer than home but I have a memory foam topper. The pillows were lovely. I actually slept with the windows open for the first time. It’s so quiet there. The AC can be quite cold so if you dont need it……
When we came back from our adventures there were cookies waiting for us. Nice surprise. Doug and Diana are very friendly hosts and wonderful to chat with. You will love it here.
