My cousin and I stayed at Taylor-Made for a second time last week. The BnB is well situated for anyone wishing to hike on the Bruce Trail, and the proprietors, Doug and Diana, have ample information to share about trail. They will also provide transportation assistance if needed, so you can leave your car at the end of your planned hike. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are especially delicious, with home-made bread and ample choices of other foods. There is a hot tub which is excellent to soothe tired muscles after a day of hiking. Doug and Diana are very welcoming people and ideal hosts.
My husband booked this B&B based off of the great reviews and I'm very glad he did. We have never stayed in B&B accommodations before and weren't totally sure about how it all worked, etc. We were more than impressed and I must say the bar is now set quite high. We stayed in room 5 which has a full bathroom, that was a great feature. Doug and Diana are the kindest people, they make you feel at home and are happy to answer any questions you have. The food was INCREDIBLE. Fresh baked bread, muffins, cookies, and amazing breakfasts blew our minds. We hiked each day and it was a long while before we were hungry for our packed lunches. There is a fridge in the common area which was very handy, we brought sandwich fixings so we could carry lunches in our packs. We hiked Lion's Head…
We stayed in room #5, which has an ensuite and is conveniently located near the common room with couch & chairs, TV, fireplace, and the snack centre - hot beverages on demand, nightly cookies, and fruit. Diana and Doug were extremely welcoming, and took good care of us, even providing delicious (and filling) gluten- and dairy-free breakfasts. The eggs Benedict were a particular treat. We had lovely chats with them, and look forward to our return.
With the 2 of us going on a summer VACA leaving our husbands behind, we made our way to the Bruce Peninsula area with the intention of hiking and enjoying a sight-seeing tour. We had an exceptional glorious time that started with our stay at the Taylor-Made Bed and Breakfast in Lion’s Head, Ontario. Charming, welcoming and with delicious gluten-free / dairy free brekkies, and a cozy room, we were so grateful to have it as our home base. From there our sojourn led us to the picturesque town of Tobermory, where we shopped till we dropped, and enjoyed the delicious cuisine offered at the Princess Hotel. (Maggie and Gail) This charming, welcoming and warm B & B is a must visit, and the following are some of our highlights: Hosts and Taylor-Made B & B: Diana and Doug • Warm and…
Doug and Diana have a lovely home in Lion’s Head, perfectly situated for those wishing to hike the Bruce Trail or visit Sauble Beach. The accommodations were very comfortable. The made to order breakfasts were delicious. Refrigerator available for storing food and/or ice packs. Tea, coffee and cookies for evening treat. Doug and Diana went out of their way to provide hiking advice, drying racks for our soaking wet clothes when we got caught in a late day storm on the Trail, beach suggestions and more. We highly recommend this B & B and hope we have an opportunity to visit again soon!
Very nice owner, clean and neat rooms, plentiful breakfast! The owner is really nice people!! They try their best to make you feel at home. The house is extremely clean. Everything is very neat. Snack, fruit, water, coffee, tea are placed in living room. You can just help yourself. The most impressive is the breakfast. There is a lot of types of food they prepare. Yogurt, muffin, juice, bread, hot dish are all homemade and very delicious. They would ask you what you want for breakfast the night before and prepare food according to your time, make sure the food comes at the right time. We spent 2 nights in here. Quite satisfied. Absolutely 5 stars review. Highly recommend!!
Thank you to Doug and Diana for making our family stay at your B&B a wonderful, memorable experience. You went out of your way to assist us. Your rooms are cosy and so comfortable! The breakfast was amazing! This was one of the most enjoyable B&B experiences we have ever had. Our overseas family thank you so much for all your help and we all enjoyed chatting with you. Again many thanks for all you did for us!
We are from the UK and have, quite literally travelled all over the world. I have never felt so thoroughly spoilt by hospitality. As a "meat eating vegan" (allergic to dairy and eggs) Diana created the most wonderful breakfasts for me with vegan waffles, muffins and fruit with coconut yoghurt - it seems that nothing was too much trouble! Doug and Diana's care for their guests is second to none. So pleased to have shared their lovely B&B! Oh and BTW the Bruce Peninsular is great too ;)
Doug and Diana are wonderful people... if you are spending time at the north end of the Bruce Peninsula, you should stay at Taylor Made Bed and Breakfast! Great location, close to the action while being quiet and relaxing. AMAZING breakfast with homemade breads and yogurt and custom meal prep. Really friendly hosts who genuinely care about your experience. Very good value, they could/should charge much more. We stayed at this B and B because of high praise from friends, and it exceeded our expectations. We will be recommending to others.
We stayed 9 nights at Taylor Made Bed and Breakfast in May 2018 while hiking the Bruce Trail. This was our second time staying at this B&B and we are pleased to say that Diana and Doug continue to deliver an outstanding experience. Our room was clean and comfortable with en-suite bath. Once again we enjoyed relaxing on the deck after our hike and spending time in the sitting room in the evenings with tea and home baking provided by Diana. The made to order breakfasts were excellent and set us up very well for our days of hiking. They had no problem accommodating our need for an early breakfast (6:30 AM) to enable us to meet our hiking schedule. Doug and Diana are perfect hosts taking a genuine interest in their guests. We would definitely recommend.
