My partner and I spent 3 nights at the Motel and couldn’t recommend it enough. Will & Joanne are great hosts and were always available to answer any question or enhance your experience. The room was big and the all equipped kitchenette made our evenings great as we could cook and have a BBQ just outside of the room at the picnic table in front of the room with a view on the beautiful marina and then end the night with a fire under the stars at the fire pit (also in front of the room!). Moreover, the free canoe and kayak rentals for guests is a real major plus as the water is so clear and it is one of the best activity to do in the area. We will be back!! Thanks again Will!

I stayed at 3 airbnbs this summer and a cottage here and this is why these places will always be better. I had issues with every one of my airbnbs, two of which were very dirty.

The cottage we stayed at was spotless, bigger than the pictures look, the amenities are amazing like all the stuff in the kitchen and the fact that you can use stuff like kayakas, the view and location are superb, and the hospitality of the owners is incredible. They honored our agreement over the phone to only stay 2 nights and came over to check how we liked the cottage - so friendly and lovely and they really care about their guests and property.

Wifi only worked on the second floor for those who care but this is a place to turn your phone off.

Big recommendation, cant wait to come back next year.

It's our second visit to Lion's Head beach motel. Great location right on the beach and Bruce Trail in both directions. Clean motel appartment with all amenities and full kitchen. Owner provides kyaks to paddle on clear waters of Georgian Bay. With barbeque and fire pit outside, we were able to have camping experience with hotel convenience. Thank you very much Wilfred and Barbara for the excellent stay.

My roommates and I went for a stay to hike Lion's Head and we had a great time. The room had everything we needed including a stove, fridge, utensils etc. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We were able to use the kayak's for free (comes with your stay) and we kayaked to the most beautiful spot that gave us a clear view of the Lion's Head cliffs. The owners Wilfred and Joanne made us feel right at home and ensured we had everything we needed.

We stayed 2 nights here while cycling along the Bruce Peninsula. Our room was very cozy and had fridge, stove and microwave so we were able to cook our meals which was a bonus. The location is perfect - right on the bay, walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants. You can hike from here all the way around Lion's Head on the Bruce Trail. The motel owner very kindly drove us around to Barrow Bay so that we could hike all the way around the peninsula - a spectacular hike!

Thank you for your review. Sorry it's taken some time - normally we are notified when a review comes in. We work hard to ensure our guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay on the Bruce Peninsula. Yes, we shuttle hikers as we have seen guests do 3+ hour drives up in individual cars so they don't have to back track. Be safe and we hope to see you again.

We're having a house built in Lion's Head so visit frequently--every couple of weeks. It is always a pleasure to stay with Wilf and Joanne. They are perfect hosts: friendly, approachable, knowledgeable about the area and very, very picky when it comes to the cleanliness of the rooms. Joanne does most of the cleaning herself, so nothing escapes her eagle eye. The full kitchens are well equipped (please note, one of the rooms doesn't have an oven but this is clearly marked in the room descriptions), even down to wine glasses and potato peelers. So if you wish to spend your time peeling spuds instead of soaking up the views, go right ahead! I'm actually sad that our house is nearly finished because I won't have an excuse to stay here anymore.

We spent a night at this hotel and found it spacious, comfortable, clean and well located. Very helpful owner/operator. It was only 1 km from the Lions Head Bruce Trail trail-head so the short walk will save you the $30 parking fee at the trail entrance. Highly recommended.

The Lion's Head Beach Motel is perfectly located by the water providing a great winter view if going during the off season. We stayed here during a bad winter storm and the owners made us feel right at home. The room can easily accommodate a family, contains all the amenities that you would need to prepare your meals, and are clean and organized. They also have an EV charger which was great for topping up the car to continue on our trip. We definitely recommend a stay here if visiting or going through the area.

This is a traditional motel with parking at the door and facilities and equipment for self catering. All rooms boast a lovely view over the lake and have individual barbecues and picnic tables. Our room was about 480 square feet and was very quiet. There is no wi-fi and TV reception was so poor as to make it unwatchable. It is just a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops.
