This a complete experience. Casita it's the people, the food, the activities, the workers, the 'big blue' and the vibe. We felt very confortable since the moment we arrived to Casita. Every moment there is a new experience; even the check in and out!

The "beach day" tours that they sell are totally expensive. They ask for what is a lot of money just to cross you to the island in the front. You can actually arrange for the 25% directly with the locals but Casita administration won't let them do that. Apart from that, there is not much to do in the islands. But if you still go there my recomendation is to walk to the other extreme of the island where you will find all the same beverages and food for the 50% of the price shown in the "port" where you arrive.

Apart from that, everything is amazing and all the people you'll find there is amazing.I had and amazing birthday there. (we were 3 days/2nights)

Thanks Mariano, thanks Mónica,Thanks Ronald.

I would definitely recomend this place and would absolutely go back.

Pato & Cote, from Chile!

I spent two nights solo at Casa en el Agua and had a great time. I got a private room so I can’t speak to the hammocks. The bed was fine and clean. The staff is amazing- I let them know ahead of time about a medical issue I have and they went out of their way to accommodate me. The drinks were good and strong, food was extremely tasty, and the staff makes sure everyone is having a good time. It was a beautiful place and you can tell they love what they do. Two nights was the perfect amount of time. The plankton tour was really awesome as well.

The only negatives are things they can’t control— the second night Isla Roots blasted music til 4 am- so bring ear plugs. The bathroom situation takes a bit of getting used to but it was ultimately fine. If you’re a person with long hair, one bucket of fresh water at night is not enough to wash it, so I had to get a little creative with conditioner and such.

Last thing and it has nothing to do with Casa En El Agua but with Tranq It Easy: on the way there Cartagena closed the port so we had to bus down to Tulo and get the boat from there. In retrospect, that was lucky, because the boat ride back to Cartagena was probably the worst boating experience of my life, and I once got caught in a storm on a sailboat off the coast of Brazil. That was still more pleasant. The water is extremely choppy and the boat slams into the waves for 3 hours. I didn’t mind so much that I was soaked and so was all my stuff, but the boat kept knocking the wind out of me and the waves were smacking me in the face. My back was killing me from literally being thrown around like a rag doll. On top of it, I had no access to my bag nor could I even get one second to reapply sunscreen bc it was so bad, I got severe sunburn. I think maybe the crew on Tranq It Easy should do a better job of allocating people by weight because I don’t weigh enough to be sitting in the front of the boat. You fly like a foot off the seat and then it slams down. You have a life jacket but no seat belt so I’m definitely feeling sore the day after. Again, this isn’t Casa en el Agua’s fault, just something to be aware of.

Excellent to spend a night. I would not reserve more time, since there are not too many activities that you can do inside the house and you can do them from other islands of the archipelago. Don't have expectations of a five-star hotel. I chose to spend in a hammock, it was great to be lulled by the sea breeze, but if you do not dare, you can share a stateroom. It is a place to disconnect 100%, so you will not have any screen other than the crystalline blue of the sea, so take advantage of it (my favorite part)!!! The night is partying until midnight, which is quite good for some cocktails (my recommendation: Casa Raizal) and connecting with other travelers or dancing (if you prefer). The checkout and the volunteers are the best (a snail call). The food is at specific times and without many options, but enough to be in the middle of nowhere, so if you want an assortment, it will be crab or lobster. It is the life of the island. Enjoy it!

First of all the place itself is really nice, clean and very different to other hostels even if it’s not as isolated as it makes out (lots of hostels/ islands close)
However, the food and drinks are really poor. I was ill from the food the day after we left and this isn’t surprising given the cooking hygiene seemed to be lacking and nothing tasted that fresh. Fish was being cut up on dirty surfaces and left outI and it was fish everyday for lunch and dinner but even the veggie option wasn’t great. My girlfriend is gluten intolerant which we told them beforehand but had to keep repeating this every meal time and they didn’t swap bread etc for anything they just put more on the plate of something else. We have much better food in much more isolated and less equipped kitchens.
Drinks are very expensive 2 for 50,000 on cocktails which is more than double in the mainland. 8000 for a beer which is okay.
The bucket shower and toilet were fine and we knew about this prior to going but sleeping was a problem. We stayed in a dorm which had no fan and the ‘pillow’ was horrendous. The music was loud until 12 which was fine because I couldn’t sleep due to sweating profusely.
The staff were friendly enough but didn’t really create an atmosphere they just hung out with the locals.
I cannot speak for the trips as the plankton one was not on but others said they were not worth the money.
The whole thing including the boat you have to pay for which for two people was around £100, trips, drinks etc is way too expensive and not worth it.
Our whole stay was only saved by some amazing people who were so friendly and a great laugh.
Overall quite disappointed with the experience as we had high expectations, but if you do go only go 1 night! 2 is too many!!!

I visited Casa en el Agua with my boyfriend from Feb 2 to Feb 4 (2 nights is just perfect). We had such a great experience starting with the boat ride with tranquieasy and since the moment we arrived to la Casita until the moment we left. I want to Thank Monica, Mariano and the volunteers for the great time, the ladies in the kitchen and last but no least Otto for making the best cocktails (ask him for the lulo cocktail with vodka the best) If you have the possibility to get the El Castillo room dont hesitate it's just amazing to go to sleep looking at the sky and then being able to watch the sunrise from your bed but make sure you stay until very late partying because the room is on top of the bar (we didn't have any problem lol) in general I have to say that the time we spent there was unique and I definitely recommend La Casa en El Agua to anyone that is ready to party hard and relax during the day in a beautiful place in the Caribe Colombiano.

What can I say about my stay in Casa en El Aqua, other than it exceeded my expectations in every way.
The accommodation was excellent, really comfortable beds, and the facilities considering it’s a house literally in the middle of the sea, we’re excellent too.
The quality of the food and drink were excellent, great cocktails and great food, with the additional option of adding some freshly caught seafood, there was plenty of options available.
The atmosphere was really special, with some amazing music playing day and night.
The team at Casa En El Aqua go out the way to make sure you feel really well looked after, using your name, you feel like part of the family while you’re there.
They also offer some fantastic excursions which I would highly recommend - especially the plankton tour!
I would highly recommend visiting here!

Stayed here for two nights, and had a great time. It is unlike anywhere i have ever stayed and a great place to make new friends, have some drinks and chill out.
The price includes all meals - the food is quite basic but perfectly ok. If you have any special dietary requirements (i can't eat dairy), would be good to warn them in advance.
Given the remote location it is quite basic but definitely recommend it for a unique and fun experience in the middle of the sea!

Very scammy. The hotel staff lie about not accepting credit cards and then suddenly surprise you with fake charges at the end of the stay to charge up your credit card. The hotel staff (men) also prey on the drunk girls who stay there are harass them to no end. Overpriced drinks and food. Half the food you order as snacks never gets made and they never take it off the bill at the end.

Four of us went in Dec 2023. It’s expensive for what it is. The boat out there is $60 USD one way ontop of the dorm prices. We were greeted to a dancing group on the house, which was the most party the hosts put on. They didn’t provide entertainment in the evenings so everyone went to bed at 11pm. No party. Its hot in the mornings so you can’t sleep in. Food was delicious, had crab in the evening which was incredibly good. There isnt a huge amount to do during the day bar swim and chill so bring some games unless you do the expensive tours. Had high hopes but was pretty flat overall

Hello!, thanks for your interest in Casa en el Agua! Casa en el agua is a bit distant from the mainland and it's not that big, so it's only open for guest with prior reservation, we don't have day pass service. ¡Un abrazo desde el caribe!

You can get a speed boat and the details are on their website. It’s 100,000 each way for the fast boat & I would recommend booking ahead.
