This was the first leg of our honeymoon after getting married in Cartagena and it was perfect. It was relaxing with good service, a variety of activities to choose from (bike tour, snorkeling, scuba, and even night paddle boarding). Rooms are small (smaller than the picture) but clean and the bed is comfy. Not all rooms have hammocks. There is...

My wife and I visited the island in 2000 and the beach was large and clean, the hotel was beautifully isolated, and sea life abundant and colorful. We just visited with our kids for the long weekend around Good Friday, went snorkeling, had lunch and spend some time at the beach. The ride there was above Cartagena standards, on a...

The island is a popular place for day trippers from Cartagena. If you come for the day you'll wish you were staying the night. If you come for the night you'll wish you were staying for two nights. The island is VERY quiet so we spent our time reading and swimming and drinking! We also got massages. The food at...

We booked a 1-night stay in this hotel as wanted to see the island and have a chilled day by the beach. It was not exactly what we expected... The whole island is divided within the hotels and of course the locals, therefore discovering and walking around is not encouraged, so we stayed mostly at the hotel area. The good...

After a great trip in Colombia in BOG hotel in Bogota and Bovedas de Santa Clara in Cartagena, I stayed in Majagua and it spoilt the end of my trip. The room was spacious and clean and the restaurant staff were great but beyond that, the hotel manager was rude, the food terrible and expensive, and the whole place needs...

My husband and I stayed at Majagua for 3 nights and we couple not have asked for a better experience. The room was large and clean. We ate at 2 other hotels and the food at Majagua was by far the best. Ever meal and cocktail we had was delicious. It is true that it gets busy with day trippers...

We were recommended this day tour to San Pedro on the Rosario island as a must. It was a disappointment from the booking process, the mis-information about what's included or not (mainly not), the boarding (missing passengers) and the interest of this less than full day trip with one hour boat trip each way. The only good thing was that...

We stayed at Hotel San Pedro de Majagua between March 7th and 10th and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. While the staff doesn't speak a lot of english, they were never rude or impatient. Our Spanish is pretty pathetic, and we're the ones visiting their country. All the menus have English translations. We stayed in a separate bungalow at this hotel as we are a family of four, and it catered to us well. We had a sea view but were set back from the beach a little, which is actually a blessing as the wind gets up in the afternoon on the island. The hotel tries very hard to cater for...

We stayed two nights at this magical place. Some caveats: The staff's English is limited so be prepared; the hotel is on a rustic island so do not expect Four Seasons level treatment; and the menu can get dull quickly as it is the same at every meal. However, the location is amazing! The water is clear and warm and...
