Enjoy your stay in Margaux!
The hotel is situated right next to Margaux vineyards so the name says it all. The hotel has one of the best breakfast rooms I have seen! A charming glass veranda with a lovely view. The dinner they serve is also very nice. The friendly staff at Le Pavillion de Margaux makes the stay even better. Their kind attention to all our questions and needs was wonderful. The village of Margaux itself has little to offer in the afternoon/evening, but that does not matter when we could have a glass of top-quality wine served in the garden of the hotel, quietly reading and taking in the atmosphere after a long day of touring the Medoc wineries. We also enjoyed a days trip to Bordeaux one of the days,, very easy to do when we bought the train tickets online.
Cute B&B hotel close to wineries. We wanted to stay within an hours drive from Bordeaux so the village of Margaux was perfect. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to a large suite that had a view of the adjacent vineyard and church. Sunrise was beautiful. The onsite restaurant was exceptional.
We visited the Medoc with some friends from the UK and decided to stay here to extend our time on the Medoc. The rooms are great with very comfortable beds the staff are outstanding I would like to thank Khamul ( sorry if the spelling is incorrect) Charlotte was great when we arrived as were all the staff very accomodating the only disappointment was my duck was tough at dinner excellent stay
We stayed 2 nights at Le Pavillon. Comfy rooms and wonderful location - right in the middle of the Margaux vineyards with Chateau Margaux itself just a stone's throw away. Delightful food and wines available. Lovely walks out from the hotel too. PErfect location for exploring Bordeaux's west bank
Having visited here a number of times before and told my friends all about it expectations were high. Indeed entering the large bedroom and looking out of the bedroom window at Chateau Margaux the picture was set. Unfortunately after that things were a bit haphazard. Not sure if we could be accommodated in a half empty restaurant, unwilling to serve an aperitif, and food and wine appeared at infrequent intervals. Many items out of stock and felt very much like the morning after. Needs some tlc and good management but enjoyed it despite drawbacks.
