Out of the city with no alternative restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean if a little dated, with mould around bath tub. Restaurant also tired and requires a small amount of redecoration, although essentially clean, tidy and well managed. Check in and out faultless. Some room noise from other guests

Slept 1 night in this hotel. The room in general was nice, except for the many many bugs in there. It seemed like the room wasn't cleaned at all, spider webs were all over the place. When we explained this to the receptionist, the only answer was "oh". Never again.

I booked and paid for this hotel online on the lunchtime having just completed a 1200 mile road trip for a reconnaissance mission for a charity bike ride. You usually know what you’ll get with a Campanile, but this fell well below expectations. Having “paid” online I was rudely told that the hotel had no record of the payment and demanded I paid again at reception rather than investigating. No apology for any inconvenience etc. I await a statement but I am pretty sure I will have been charged twice. My room, or felt like a cell, was located on the ground floor of one of the cell blocks. I opened the door to be confronted with, firstly, the strong smell of sewage. The room was about the size of my under-stairs cupboard. Upon closer inspection, it was filthy. The carpet was stained, the walls were marked with stains, cobwebs and dust everywhere. Worst of all was the bathroom, where there had obviously been a fire caused by an overhead heater. The heater had been replaced but instead of redecorating they had just screwed a new one over the burnt paper (see photos). The food was fine (which is why it gets a second star rather than 1), but the service was abrupt bordering upon rude. Avoid this place, it needs a complete overhaul of both the facilities and service standards.

It’s a nice country accomodation. Rooms are not so big but clean and my bed was very comfortable. The restaurant is good. Helpful staff but not very friendly. Buffet breakfast with a selection of breads, salad and sweet food. A great accomodation for a school trip.

The only reason that I have rated this hotel so low is because of lack or poor sleep for 2 of our 3 nights stay. The first night, a coach of schoolchildren arrived. They were shouting, singing and playing music in the grounds until quite late. Thankfully the coach left next morning. Second night TWO coaches arrived and the students must have taken virtually every room. We could not eat in the restaurant that evening as they took over. Their noisy talking, singing, shouting, knocking on doors continued until nearly 02.00am. NO SLEEP for us. When we went to have our breakfast it looked as if a plague of locusts had descended - mess everywhere, and latecomers eating directly over the buffet servery. We had just bread and coffee at 9.80euros each!!!! as they had eaten over the servery food, a high price. I did speak to the staff member on duty to see if another coach was expected that night, thankfully he said no otherwise we would have left. After our day out, I did mention to the staff member on duty that we were not happy with the noise the previous night and lack of sleep. I mentioned that I hoped that some compensation could be offered. We dined in the restaurant that evening and had a very good meal. The staff were extremely friendly and work very hard. I appreciate that to take coach parties is part of their business but it should not be to the detriment of other people staying there. Perhaps the management should firmly insist that the teachers ensure that students act responsibly and courteously. When we checked out and paid our bill we were pleased to see that our comments had been noted and a discount offered. Despite this, our room was clean, bed comfortable (apart from the pillows but we always take our own) and shower good. The paved areas outside are a bit uneven, the edging to grassed areas are a trip hazard. Also the numerous trollies of laundry kept outside are unsightly.
