The place in itself is very nice but the manageress’s competence is extremely poor! During the night there was loud music coming from a room near ours. 3 times we asked réception to do something, at 11pm, midnight and finally at 2.30 am! When we checked out all the manageress offered us was a 37 € discount on a bill of nearing 400 €! The excuses were very poor and we had to even tell her what would be expected in a 4 star hotel in such an instance! It felt like talking to a 1 star hotel manager! Why did we have to ask reception 3 times, instead of once to do something? Why could the hotel staff not show some diligence by checking that the music was stopped? 400 € for a sleepless night!!!
We have lodged for 2 nights over at a beach side room. The hotel is amazing very quiet with a private beach roof top restaurant BUT there is no gym and this is not acceptable for this kind of hotel!!! Please owner add a gym it is so necessary ! The hotel has an amazing all services at the reception and welcome you very warmly
Fantastic location , right on a lovely beach, although you do need a car to really enjoy the locality. On first sight the hotel seems a bit corporate ,a bit short on charm , but as you settle into your room you find that everything is super efficient and everything works. Our balcony was absolutely stunning ,hanging over the beach. The roof top restaurant has spectacular views ,efficient service and good food. The pool is extremely good and the service around the pool area is competent. The staff give the impression that they really care about the hotel and do their best for the guests. With a little more softness in the interiors ,especially the flower arrangements which were left in their wrapping and just dropped into vases as they were delivered, this could be the perfect hotel.…
Friends suggested a nearby hotel, but as it was fully booked already for the weekend, I found this hotel online, and took a leap of faith! I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was very pleased with my room, the pool, the easy beach access. And I love walking, so I enjoyed the 35-45 minute strolls into Sanary-sur-Mer or Bandol. I walked one morning to catch the boat to Ile de Bendor from Bandol (what a lovey day and island!). The hotel is right on the Mediterranean Sea, roughly equidistant from both Sanary-sur-Mer and Bandol. It’s a modern building with modern finishes. The pool is delightful with plenty of chairs. The pool area is a quiet enclave with constantly running water making it a peaceful respite from the kids on the beach. However, if you want the seaside, the beach is just on the other side of the building (the building literally sits on the beach). Generally, this beach is low-key and restful. The beach itself is sandy, though it’s a bit rocky once in-water, like most Mediterranean beaches, so I was wishing I had brought water shoes. Breakfast is offered (for a fee), and tables are set up in an indoor-yet-outdoors area facing the sea - what a lovely way to dine! There is also a restaurant on the roof that offers a lovely view of the Sea: but as forewarned by other reviewiers, I also found service a bit slow and disorganized (if nice), and the food mediocre at best. My room was not so fancy, but it had every convenience I required. A complimentary bottle of water was left for me upon my arrival (but unfortunately, was not replaced after I drank it). There is a limited set of beverages in the mini-bar for a fee. A Nespresso machine and a hot water maker for tea are provided for use free of charge (espresso pods were replaced daily). My room opened to a terrace with two lounge chairs. It wasn’t exactly a private terrace as several other rooms also had doors/access to the terrace, but their areas had tables outside for dining al fresco. It was a lovely seaside view! What I really loved about my room was the very tasteful bathroom with it’s amazing rain shower and large vanity! After a week in a tiny Parisian hotel with a minuscule bathroom, this bathroom was a dream! There was a high shelf by the mirror as well as a large countertop on which to place toiletries. I was alone, but even if I were not, it would still be a nice amount of space. There was also a towel warmer rack mounted on the wall (I love these!). Finishes were stone juxtaposed with a rainbow-green glass tile - not a choice that I would have made, but it works! My bathroom had an amazing full-length window of the seaside, a definite plus! I slept WELL. I was happy to hear only the seaside and not the sounds of the town. This is when it is so lovely to be a bit off the beaten path. Guests may check out one or two towels for your room at reception to for use at the pool or the beach. The Bad Things -The espresso in the kitchen is terrible in the morning (they said they changed their coffee beans - having lived in Italy, perhaps I am a bit fussy here); better to opt for the in-room Nespresso -The room key must be used to turn on the outlets to the room; therefore, there is no outlet to charge your phone on when you go to breakfast/dinner or leave the room to go to the pool or beach (sitting in the room on vacation just to charge your electronics so you can call a taxi or get directions is a drag when it’s so gorgeous out!). There is an outlet in the safe (a nice touch!), but it’s really only relevant if it would work when you are not in the room - which it doesn’t, so really, what’s the point?) -The wi-fi, even after the receptionist helped me get my phones connected, was spotty and weak at best. It would last for a few minutes, then would turn off. If you *need* regular wi-fi (I.e. this is a working “vacation,” this is *not* your hotel). It was certainly an inconvenience. -Service at the restaurant is nice/friendly, but green: Like the difference between service in New York, and say, most other US cities. One evening, it took two servers several minutes and what sounded like a giant hammer to free a sea bass of its salty encasement, and as noted elsewhere, I had the same experience trying to find a server to bring me anything (before the rest of my meal got cold. While others on this site forewarned the restaurant’s lackluster service and food, I thought I would give it a try a couple of nights, exhausted from a day exploring the area, and well, convenience. Of my entree: the vegetables were quite tasteless, as was my sea bass (which I find is quite difficult to do in Europe with its plethora of amazing produce). It’s like they were all thrown in a pot an boiled instead of sautéed or grilled or even steamed. This restaurant could stand to better train its staff to up its service level, and could easily improve its food quality/taste. The best part about the restaurant is it’s lovely view. -The closet bar was very short, and the closet was extremely small, leaving my dresses bunched up at the bottom when hung - there was no space to share a closet with two people. Other Good Things: -Working safe -Full-length mirror -Nespresso machine in-room -Tasteful finishes -Non-intrusive room service -Quiet rooms -Tasteful/thoughtful other hotel patrons -Nice pool area with ample loungers -Gorgeous, peaceful views, and nice-sized windows -Decent breakfast buffet -Location on beach -Helpful front desk staff Products: Hydro Basics with Sea Minerals: shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, body lotion. Their scent was a bit strong for me, but I used them anyway, and they were fine. When my lotion was not replaced, I inquired at the front desk; the attendant gave me a lotion, and then also proactively offered a hair conditioner (which I also was almost out of), which was thoughtful. But, if you read my other reviews I hate having to *ask*. For the steep price of the hotel, these should just be replaced in-room automatically. Also a small toiletry kit was provided with: a few cotton rounds, q-tips, sewing kit, shoe buffer, shower cap, mini nail file; however, none of these were replaced in my three days at the hotel. Would I stay again? Absolutely! …
We booked into this hotel as it looked great online when we arrived it looked very impressive situated on a small beach front location. We checked in and shown to our room which was very small with a tiny balcony which was very cramped. We were excited to have a drink on the roof top bar but were told this was shut at the moment opening next week despite being told the hotel was full ? The pool was a nice area to sunbathe but nowhere to get a drink in sight such a missed opportunity ! The hotel seemed to be run with young people but there did not seem to be anybody in charge! We ate in the restaurants service a bit slow however the food was very good. This hotel could be amazing if they provided a greater level of service its location is perfect the room had great views of the beach however the room was quite small if you were to stay for a week or more. Breakfast was ok buffet style with a continental choice of food .…
