After reading a couple of poor reviews on here we were in 2 minds whether to book up but the price was right and we decided to take the risk. We were very pleased we did. On first impressions you walk in and their little swimming pool is the first thing you notice followed by neat, tidy and welcoming reception....

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend ski trip. Facilities were ok but nothing special. The room was spacious but the bed was very uncomfortable and the bedding had seen better days. The pillows in particular were appalling. The sofa in the living area was also very uncomfortable. The owners were fairly helpful. The breakfast was ok, not...

My Family and I have recently returned from a super Skiing trip to Chamonix. We stayed at the Chris Tal and I must report that we were very pleased with our choice. The Chris Tal is a friendly, family run Hotel, located in the small Village of Les Houches, just a few miles from Chamonix Town Centre. We travelled by...

We arrived at the hotel early and were let into to our room which was good but the corridor outside smelt vile and despite the no smoking policy, we had a strange glass balcony in which we shared the 'air' with the next door inhabitants. They used it as their smoking area so they might as well have smoked in...

Stayed with my teenage son for a few days skiing. Close to Les Houche skiiing but still needed to drive or get bus to the lift. parking at the hotel was fine, but at the lifts was bad. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. No fridge but an enclosed balcony did the same job. A few restaurants nearby...

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a lot of help from the staff with sorting things out, they were really helpful!! Hotel needs some updating and is quite expensive compared to others.

Normally my friends and I stay in Chamonix town centre for our mountaineering trips in this area but this time we decided to stay in Houches, mainly so as not to get sucked in to too much evening drinking. According to the Internet this hotel appreared to have good facilities so I booked us in. I wasn't disappointed. The room...

We had a great week in Chamonix and at the hotel. The hotel is nice and clean, with a great cuisine. And with Exelent weather and great skiing, it is no better.

I have never encountered such an unfriendly, rude and downright unpleasant attitude from staff at any hotel. Our group were 6 snowboarders on an off-piste holiday course, all in our early thirties, professional, polite, we all spoke good french, didn't drink, went to bed early, left early and were gone all day. Dinner was included in our rate and oddly...

I'm very suprise about this review. Maybe some information not well understand. Maybe gest was not well. I don't understand why your only friends was the taxidermy animal in the restaurant. I dont understand why charging your drink on the room bill was a probleme for them. Of course our hotel is not a multi internationnal language that just do...

We stayed at the Chris-tal towards the end of March and found the hotel to be clean & comfortable. Breakfast is the standard buffet found in most hotels and the dinner menu provides reasonable choice. Staff on occasion unfortunately proved to be a little difficult often serving others first or walking away from reception/bar as if we were invisible. However...
