This is an excellent hotel and beautfully designed. MOst of the staff are very kind However expect to be treated badly , rudely and horribly if you require assistance during non reception hours. Hence the poor rating.

the room was good sized, ours was on the top floor. we were able to sleep with the window open, which helped out with the ventilation. the food at the hotel was excellent. staff was great and helpful. the hotel is right next to the train station, which helped out with our transfer.

Whilst I have only once stayed here, a few years ago....and it was great....the best attribute is the food. In my humble opinion they do the best French onion soup ever!! And their Zwiebelrostbraten (pan fried steak with fried onions) is similarly superb! Whenever in this part of Bavaria, whilst there is plenty of excellent choice, I love coming here... More

I can not give say anything about hotel and room, because I didn't sleep in. I was just passed by and stop for the dinner. The food was super. The personal was polite and give there best. You feel the Bavarian atmosphere.

Our fourth floor room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. No balcony, but a dormer overlooking the city with a view of the mountains. An excellent hot breakfast with many hot and cold items was offered in a very clean dining room. The bar in the hotel was very clean and an excellent spot for a happy hour or late... More

Stayed here to view Ludwig II's castle. The hotel is very good with modern facilities. Breakfast good, dinner good, therefore very satisfied. It is located just around the corner from the train station, from where you can take the local steam train to the lake in order to catch a boat to the islands. We would certainly stay here again.

We stayed two nights at the Bayerische Hof and I have to say it is now one of my favourite hotels ever. We had a superb family room: a large bedroom with a completely separate room with bunk beds for our two children. We also had a balcony with lovely views of Prien. The staff were all friendly and helpful... More

Our two-night stay at Bayerischer Hof was absolutely perfect! I will start by saying this place is not cheap - even booking 6mths in advance it was €125 a night for a double room. However the hotel more than made up for that! First of all, we arrived in Prien at midnight. We had already told the hotel about that... More

This was my third visit to this hotel. I always find it very welcoming and a pleasure to stay there. The hotel has been completely upgraded since my last visit; if anything it is even better value than before!

We had this hotel for 2 nights recently. It was perfect place to explore Herrenchiemsee castle. Also we used this place as base for staying close to Munchen in time of Oktoberfest. With less than one hour train ride to Munchen HBF and great advantages of having Bayern ticket for DB it was so nice to stay there and relax... More
