Stayed here at the beginning and end of a group tour of Sicily. The building is grand as it was a palace for Garibaldi and has been converted beautifully with marble throughout. Rooms are clean and tidy and generally very quiet - best views are over the square. Other reviews have identified the issue with the bathroom light turning off...

We spent a few days at this hotel and right from the time of booking with Salvo and on arrival, Salvatori provided us with superb information about the local foods (especially the dolci) wines and places to visit all of which proved invaluable for our brief visit. We found the food at breakfast and in the restaurant in the evening...

Unlike others we had no problem with the shower and the lights are fine; just put the mirror light on as well when in the bathroom. Staff were very good and made huge efforts to accommodate varying dietary requirements - veggie, vegan etc. Room was the smallest we had on our tour; beds low and only one spare pillow. Room...

Stayed for four nights on a Half Board basis. Located in a very dingy area of town. Rooms clean and some are spacious, others fairly small. Breakfast buffet okay, limited choice. Because I was travelling as part of a group we had the usual choosing tomorrow's dinner whilst eating tonight's dinner. We were seated at long tables of approx. 16...

As we were allocated the penthouse room, which opened on to the roof we felt very please. It was the best appointed room we had of the 4 hotels used on our tour. We did have difficulty finding it initially though as we used the stairs which finished at the 2nd floor with fire doors, so after a long coach trip...

My wife and I stayed here for four nights as part of a Saga tour. This is a modern clean hotel in the middle of Acireale. As other guests have observed, the town was pretty run down, and there was little to do in the town itself. However, it was a good base for exploring Mount Etna (a must) and...

As many other reviews indicate, breakfast was limited e.g. not much fresh fruit. Restaurant staff were pleasant and friendly but the bar arrangements were a bit primitive. They weren't keen on taking cash preferring instead to charge to guests room accounts which was fine but they then did this manually, writing out each order by individual drink then asking for...

The owner had spent many years living in england and welcomed every opportunity to refresh his memory of our language. His staff were very helpful, and if you try to use a few italian phrases, they are pleased. Our room overlooked a square with trees and seats to sit and rest. It was clean and had plenty of wardrobe space.The...

The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. The evening meal was ok but would have liked a little more choice of food. The pasta dishes were ok, but fish would have been a nice alternative. The surrounding area was really nice plenty of churches to visit, the sea was a good walk away but very pleasant. Lots of...
