Unfortunately we were place on the first floor (despite the resort being almost empty) and without a view. It makes you feel like a second class citizen... The location of resort is ok, although you will need a car if you want to get out of the mountain and see the beautiful towns in the valley or enjoy hikes nearby. The food at the restaurant of the Hotel nearby is terrible, but you can get amazing food in Osana and other places nearby. The staff is friendly and attentive.

We stayed here for one week during our ski holiday in Dolomites Italy. The hotel has the interior of a typical 70's hotel, with brown tiles in the bathroom and wood on the walls. But the rooms are clean and conveniently located on the pistes. There are lockers close to the piste. There is a small shopping center, with a supermarket etc attached to the hotel. The hotel pool is fine, requires bathing cap, but is opened only few hours a day (except saturday) from 10-12 and 16-19 hrs. This could be more

The hotel food however was great! Especially lunch and dinner were great with all kinds of italian dishes and dessert. We and our kids loved it.

Overall good value for money, but I'm not sure if I would go here again.

It’s a huge 4 stars complex location, not nice to see from outside (all concrete), but well hidden in the forests, providing a lot of services. For the price I paid was a great value. 10 mins by car from Mezzana, about 45 mins from Madonna di Campiglio. I’ll probably get back again next year. Great value for family with kids.

Position: Excellent for ski lovers in winter, and also in summer for people who likes nature, since is just surrounded by forest
Parking: Excellent, free, covered
Reception: Good, some shops available, a play room for kids and a video game and pool room. Entertainement is provided on high season. I was in low season, we had piano bar almost all evening.
Comfort: Very good, spacious silent room, nice view, empty fridge in the room, separate local for kids in same room.
Cleanliness: Not very clean, moquette floor almost everywhere, the worse thing was the bad smell from the bathroom, I asked to check the aeration of it, never had a reply.
Internet: Not available in the rooms, free wireless in lobby, but was not working (too slow).
Television: Very Good
Pillow choice: No choices
In-room boiler: Not present
Elevators/Stairs: Very good
Breakfast quantity: Average/Good, would be nice to have some fresh fruit choices
Breakfast quality: Average/Good, croissants and juices to be improved
Checkout speed: Excellent
Hotel Restaurant/Bar: Very good the bar, the food in restaurant (buffet) range from average to very good, so I rate it as Good. A special mention goes to the desserts, freshly home made every day.
Fitness/Spa/Pool: There is a nice fitness room, a nice indoor pool too. The Spa was not working when I was there (first week September)

Suggestions: If you go to Ski, the 8th level floor is just beside of the ski lift, also the swimming pool is beside there. On the other end to reach the rooms from the lobby, at the 8th level floor, you must pass an external area (so you must be well dressed), at the other levels it’s all indoor, no need for a coat.

I am writing this review from the lobby of the hotel.

It is the only place in the 8 story hotel where you can get online after paying 5euro for 2 hours of dial up speeds of internet. That wouldn't bother me that much but since I need to go online and I must do so from the lobby of the hotel I expect certain level of normal service.

Sadly the lobby is also a dance floor with crappy music played by a terrible DJ for 2 or 3 people that are annoyed by his terrible music just as me. When I asked him politely whether he can please turn the music down he arrogantly sent me away. When I talked to a woman at the reception the reply was along the lines of "I dont want to talk to the guy.."

Further more the hotel offers overheated rooms, understaffed service and parties that go on under your room until late night making it really hard to sleep.

Just as I wanted to finish this review the so called DJ turned the music down on a request of a parent with a child really putting me in my place so to speak.

Pluses: food, location for skiers, views, covered parking spaces, mini fridge in rooms. Minuses: no Wi-Fi in rooms, access in designated areas slow frequently resulting in getting disconnected; poor shower water pressure, poor lighting in rooms - lots of bulbs but not enough light to read, loud entertainment in lobby, only Italian programs on TV. Decent value for money.
This huge hotel was obviously built in the 1960s-1970s, and decor doesn't seem to be much more recent. At first it's a little challenging to orient oneself across different levels, tracts etc. but once you get the hang of it you appreciate the views from every room, restaurant, terrace etc. All meals are buffet style, and food is the best part of the deal (also free house wine at lunch and dinner) - good selection, good quality. Restaurant and cocktail bar staff are great, housekeeping late (frequently around lunch time or later). Conveniently located at the cable-car starting point. Ski storage and rental/service on-site - you can literally change from your slippers into ski boots. If you don't ski there's not that much to do. Pool has weird hours (cap obligatory), gym is basic. There is a convenience store and a couple of souvenir stores. Also a pizza restaurant. Apparently there's a movie theater as well. Lobby is the center of life and very noisy. Animation staff are a little too pushy and loud - especially given the negligible interest they elicit.

We have been there twice (2012 and 2013). This hotel has a perfect localisation just at the ski lift. If you aim to spend lots of time on skiing you will not find a better place to go. The building is huge but not so pretty, but has everything you need to sleep and eat. The only disadvantage is that meals are sometimes not hot enough. Although there is a huge variety of tipical italian food which taste great. The hotel has good rate of quality to price.

Bad and poor equipment for cooking that was not updated, old rooms and hotel area inside. The pictures at the web site does not show the true actual updated locations as of today. It is not 4 star but close to 1-2 star.

If you ski this place is great. Easy lift access. But the rooms leave a lot to be desired. No comfortable common area seating. All hard wooden chairs or benches. Ancient mattresses with buttons! Ratty linens. The comforters were faded and worn. One even had frayed edges and torn binding.

Independant of the season (high or low) i joined RCI ,because i expected to have the same service standards across the Globe.Hotel Solaria is not the case : no WIFI for RCI members ,on top charges for cleaning (not during but at the end of the trip)and linen (which was dirty),no modern kitchen equipment (microwave)only decrepiting kitchen conditions, carpets across the Whole unit that were dirty, broken furniture (coffee table ) and above all no attempt made by the staff to facilitate and enjoyable stay in this out of season period : no maps available of the area ,no literature or recommendations where to eat (given all restaurants in a 20minute vicinity were closed).

For sure Hotel Soleil is not a place to go for RCI members.

We stayed two years before during almost the same period at Christmas at the Hotel Solaria and in the meantime some renovation has been done.

This is a budget family hotel close to the ski slopes with an outstandingly nice and helpful staff and great animation for the kids. The premises are from the 70ies but clean and quite well maintained and the food is good. The dining room is overseen by Leonardo, the Maitre who will go out of his was to make you feel comfortable, while Alessandro is always at your disposal to take care of any request you may have during your stay.
