Lovely stay at the hotel - I booked for the pool and it did not disappoint. Rooms are large and the staff are friendly and very helpful. They even called to tell me reception closed at 800pm and where to find my keys when I arrived late! One thing to mention is your room will have NO conveniences in terms of coffee, tea, snacks, etc., nor bath soap or lotions. There are not beach towels at the pool. You really should bring all your own items if you plan to stay for more than a day or two.

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights, upon arrival we were warmly greet by Paola who continued to be on hand to help with any queries etc and ensured our stay was first class. We are at the restaurant a few times, where again we received exceptional service from all, especially Agnese, whose friendly professional attitude was infectious. I cycled up the track from the hotel a couple of times (all uphill) which was fantastic and the lower pool is great if you enjoy swimming lengths (get in before 9.30am and you’ll have it to yourself). We experienced 1 day of rain and used the opportunity to access the Spa, although it costs 16 Euro pp it is definitely worth spending half a day there to simply relax. I also had a massage, which was very well done. The location is outstanding and I’d recommended hiring a car and visiting Volterra and San Gimignano, Cecina is also with a visit if you fancy the beach for a day.

We've stayed here twice now, once with my husband for a weekend getaway and then with family and Fonte alla Lepre does not disappoint. It is a little slice of heaven tucked away in the Tuscan hills and excellent value at that. If you are looking for a true getaway with excellent food and spa, then I can highly recommend, however please be aware that you will need a car to transport yourself around. it is quite remote. Our last stay was disrupted slightly by a large tour bus with a team of young kids, who I must say were very noisy and did disrupt the peace and tranquility we were used to in the resort. But that being said, I would still return. The food for breakfast and in particular the dinner at night is excellent with excellent wines available. And the spa in particular is of a very high standard, the indoor spa pool also is a bonus if the outdoor pools are not warm enough.

Lovely location, 30/45min drive to the coast or to the nearby borghi, the apartments are large and well furnished, comfortable, air conditioned. The staff is really friendly and always with a smile. The residence is beautiful and the views are stunning, the swimming pool is nice but there are no rules, kids running around, people diving etc etc. Unfortunately the pool is infested by wasps, nests are in the holes of the sunbeds, under the umbrellas, wasps are everywhere, impossible to enjoy the pool in tranquillity. We found wasps and hornets nests under our patio table, under the patio roof the patio umbrella. The breakfast choices are not up to standard, always the same everyday, every morning (for 10 days) we had to clear from used crockery and cutlery a table, clean it and set it up for us to have breakfast, there is simply not enough staff to provide a decent service. Restaurant food about average and a little overpriced. Our apartment linen got changed once in 10 days, not good enough. In essence it's a beautiful place, with tremendous potential but managed on a shoe string, lacking on the basics. There are a lot of steps from the apartments to the restaurant and pool, not recommended for disabled people as it is a real struggle to get your luggage to your apartment. Average is a true and honest valuation for it.
