We stayed 4 nights at Torralbenc around Easter time and loved the serene and charming location and the high quality of the accommodation. Our room overlooking the landscape was lovely - spacious, comfortable and well appointed.

We ate two evening meals in the restaurant and the food was excellent both times. The service was good on the first night and painfully slow on the second so a little inconsistent. Service at breakfast was also quite poor although the quality of the food was high.

We were unlucky with the weather during our stay so didn't get to enjoy the pool or other outside areas, preferring to stay indoors to be warm and dry! We did however take advantage of the great little gym and had some good treatments at the spa so enjoyed both of those facilities. It was only a shame that there was no indoor bar area for evening drinks.

The only real issue we had with the hotel was in relation to check in / check out processes. On arrival, it took us a while to find someone to actually register us and after checking out (and spending some time in the carpark doing calculations because the bill had been much higher than we had expected although all the line items were correct), we realised that we had been overcharged for all of our spa treatments. It seemed the hotel's invoicing system was effectively double taxing the spa treatments, creating a significant extra charge for spa goers. We were quite annoyed by this and how it was handled by the hotel, so this unfortunately left us with a slightly negative impression.

I spent a week at Torralbenc, a lovely island respite. While the hotel is not near a beach, the environment more than makes up for it.

Upon arrival I was greeted by the reception team who quickly checked me in. The homemade lemonade was a nice and very welcome touch.

The grounds are lovely and beautifully kept with olive trees, bougainvilleas, rosemary everywhere. The shining star is their pool area which was my home base for a large part of the week. Pool service was quick and easy.

My room was spacious and had a private patio with outdoor seating, which was lovely. The room was tastefully decorated and spacious with all the amenities you will need (I love the straw bag for guests to use during their stay). The bathroom was just as spacious, which included bath products in sustainable containers.

I enjoyed two marvelous massages on site. The “spa” has limited facilities which includes massage room, gym area, and a small reception/store.

I had breakfast and sometimes lunch at the main restaurant. Food was fresh, beautifully plated, and delish. The service by the team was spectacular. By my third morning the team anticipated exactly what I would order. Room service while a smaller selection was just as delish and service as amazing.

I thought the concierge team could have been more helpful in providing restaurant recommendations. Additionally I had reached out previously about a boat tour and had to reach out to them multiple times to hear back.

While the hotel is beautifully kept it could use some cosmetic uplifts that could turn this place from very good to amazing. Some of the umbrellas in pool area had tears. Some of the towels were pretty old and frayed. My bathroom ceiling could use a fresh coat of paint and my bed could use some oil to reduce the squeaking.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

My wife and I stayed 7 nights here and enjoyed every minute. Hospitality from staff was great (Anais in particular), room was beautiful, pool stunning (one of our best ever), and food (7 breakfasts, 2 dinners, 1 lunch) was delicious. Great location - 20 mins to airport, 15 mins to Alaior (town we really liked with Bronze Age Torralba en route), 25 mins to Mao (Can Pota restaurant recommended for lobster). The beach at Cala en Porter is less than 10 mins drive away - go there for an early swim before Torralbenc breakfast when it is quiet. We look forward to returning to Torralbenc but always outside of school holidays (best not to mix noisy kids and the gorgeous pool).

I took my family and friends to the Torralbenc restaurant last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday and was extremely disappointed to find such poor service in such a highly regarded establishment.
We were seated at a table next to the BBQ area which meant the table was surrounded with smoke and the smell of cooking meat ( particularly unpleasant for those vegetarians in our party ! )
We were left unattended without menus or any drinks order being taken for at least 15 minutes
We eventually asked to be moved as the smoke was starting to hurt our eyes but were told this was not possible as this would cause a problem for the staff as they would have to clean & relay another table !!
and in any event they weren’t responsible for which way the wind blew and if we didn’t want to be seated by the BBQ we should have said when we booked ( I don’t think it’s an option offered on the website ! )
Eventually after speaking to the duty manager they reluctantly agreed and prepared a new table which took approx 3mins
It then took another 20mins before our food order was taken and we were finally served our food at about 10.45pm some 2 hours after our reservation !
In fact the only thing that was done in a timely fashion was when they brought the bill !
We received no apologies for any of the problems or delays but instead were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff by being there.
In summary the hotel has a stunning location and the food was good but the service & the attitude of the staff left a lot to be desired which will no doubt be reflected in any levels of repeat business !

Mike.

I stayed here with my husband and son. The concierge staff was among the rudest I have ever encountered.
We had asked one week in advance to modify our stay. So within the cancellation policy were subject to 50%. Instead of staying 5 nights we wanted to stay 4, and the hotel refused to accommodate us.
I felt the bathroom and shower were not acceptable for $1K/night (see picture).
When I said something to the manager, he told me that I was finding any excuse to complain because they wouldn't honor my cancellation request, and that no one has ever complained about the showers.
For a guest paying $8K, I have never felt so disrespected. I cannot recommend this hotel due to the lack of hospitality.
Wooden doors were filled with termites.
We asked or a kids menu at the restaurant, were told they didn't have one, and then saw pasta sent out to another table. But instead had to pay 40 euro for my 1-yr old son to have the risotto on the menu.
No other managers ever checked us on during our stay after knowing we had issues.

We visited the hotel for a special birthday. Overall it was very pleasant and a lovely setting. However for the hefty price tag, it should be verging on perfection. The service was mostly very good. However one waiter when asked about the hotels own vineyard/wines said he didn’t know anything about wine (loved his honesty…but come on, the wine list had bottles at €700+). I ordered the steak (at £76 euro price tag) it was so heavily seasoned with salt it was almost inedible. I had to send it back after a few mouthfuls (it still appeared on the bill, though they did remove it in the end). For such a high quality establishment they didn’t match up the standards for our particular experience.

It’s a beautiful setting and gorgeous hotel. We had a nice superior room on the second floor with outside terrace. Breakfast is very very good and pool and bathing area are fabulous. Lovely little gym. Complimentary yoga every day was great. Generous with linens - beach towels etc.

The restaurant is heavily overpriced and food can be v salty. You only get 1 litre of water per person free a day. They charge guests for wine tours and you can buy the wine cheaper offsite than on: which feels odd. We had to push hard for a decent table the nights we ate at the restaurant and while friendly overall, service can sometimes be a bit supercilious.

First impressions were excellent; beautiful gardens and pool area, total tranquillity, friendly receptionist, welcome drink on the terrace. However on being shown to the room we were hugely disappointed. Although large and spacious it seemed damp and was cold (even though it was 25° outside). We had to ask for a heater! The furniture on the terrace (which overlooked a few olive trees and what I can only describe as a pile of rubble) was old and damp, you certainly wouldn’t want to sit on it with or without a pretty view.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening after an aperitif in the garden. A nice touch would be to put candles on the tables in the garden. Once in the restaurant we were absolutely ignored for a while until someone finally came to show us to our table. The service started out being good but then became sporadic. Finesse was certainly lacking in a restaurant of this standard. We were left to pour our own wine, the food was not of a quality one would expect of an establishment at this level, there were no finger bowls to cleanse hands after de-shelling prawns, coffee was not offered and by the end we felt somewhat cheated.
On the whole a rather disappointing stay.

Wonderful from the moment we went through the gates

The staff are fabulous and make you feel very welcome, the place is stunning and very calming and relaxing.

We visit Menorca a lot and this is the best hotel we have stayed in. The food was incredible, I cannot recommend this place enough

I have booked 3 rooms for June to take the family and I cannot wait to share the Torralbenc experience with them

This is a place we were truly sad to leave. The grounds, the pool, the rooms, the view were all stupendous. That said, the welcoming, warm, and highly skilled staff were what made the experience unforgettable. The service is impeccable in every way. The included breakfast is a feast of locally sourced produce, dairy, fruit and breads...all fresh and delicious. The food and drink at the restaurant were wonderful and the staff were always happy to accommodate our tastes and preferences. Don't miss the tour of the vineyard and the tasting of the delectable wines produced from grapes grown on the property. Claude, the sommelier, is knowledgable and amiable. The experience was educational, but more importantly, fun. Every detail of our stay was thoroughly considered and of the highest quality. This a very special place.
