From the imposing stone building to the Gregorian chant CD playing softly at reception, we were captivated from the moment we arrived. On the outskirts of town, but quicker start to the Camino the next day. Rooms was lovely; beamed ceiling, wooden shutters, sitting area; beautifully renovated. Make sure to investigate every nook and cranny. Only guests may visit the...

This is an old palace next to a large old church...the hotel has been updated and has lots of nice amenities. The rooms are large , the beds are second quality...the heat was intermittent....there were very few people on duty. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and helpful...the men were like it was a burden when you...

When we arrived we met some very disappointed people who had turned up on spec. hoping to get a room as a treat along the Camino, luckily we had booked and this was a fantastic place to stay, it is an old monastery that has been sympathetically converted into an hotel, while keeping a lot of the features including an area...

This is Parador style and property at affordable prices. A lot of the monastery has been preserved and is very atmospheric without being overwhelming. There are lots of interesting items and plenty of places to walk. The park setting is beautiful although car parking is not secure. The location is very convenient and the town centre is a pleasant and...

This is a great hotel in a little village which was magic to wander around. The interior of the hotel has some incredible old cloisters. I would definitely stay again, for the atmosphere, but the service could have been a little more willing.

I stopped off here during my camino de Santiago. For being such a grand hotel, the room was very reasonable, extremely comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. Very pretty town, easy to get lost though! If any pilgrim is planning to splurge I would highly recommend this hotel to be it.

The buildings are amazing. Room beautiful & clean. But the only greeting I got at desk when checking in was 'Passport'. & they didn't even break their conversation between themselves while I checked in. May as well not be there. The rooms are not sound proofed. Plus the mattresses have a plastic cover like a babies cot. Noisy as &...

- having stayed 1 night as we were heading to Porto. - room quality: mattress was good, enough space but the wall may not thick enough as we could hear someone snoring from the room which is just next with us. - hotel location: we meant to choose this hotel for a stop when we were heading to Porto, so...

Beautiful accommodation and really comfy and peaceful, only downside was the incredibly rude and indifferent receptionist who was only interested in you if you speak Spanish! I checked in today lovely monestary if you want to have a word with her about her very bad attitude. With so many nationalities doing the Camino you really need to put someone on...

Nice charming surroundings. Rooms are tastefully modernised in keeping with the hotel. Restaurant meal was only OK, wasn't impressed with the food served. There was a wedding on the night that we stayed, and we were pleasantly surprised that it remained peaceful and quiet. The bar man seems to have developed a reputation for being a little abrupt and non...
