Detailed Reviews
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend (4 nights) to celebrate her birthday. As The Netherlands was still under lock down when we stayed, we were a little apprehensive as to how such a large hotel (365 rooms) would cope with the social distancing measures, particularly as regards the swimming pool and restaurant at breakfast time. We needn't have worried, as both were very well organised. We were able to book an hour slot for the swimming pool and although a maximum of 8 guests were allowed in the pool area, generally there were only 4 or 5 and we all split our time between the pool and the jacuzzi so that everyone could enjoy the experience. There was also an hour slot for breakfast and we typically chose the latest one (10:15 to 11:15) as we enjoy our sleep. There was a large buffet selection with everything from scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon etc. to cold cuts of meat, cheeses, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, and croissants. Although as others have mentioned, the coffee was very disappointing.
The hotel is split into three blocks and we whilst we were in the first block (furthest from the beach) we had an excellent view of the sea and lighthouse from our room. The balconies are basic, furnished with just a couple of plastic chairs, but we improvised and moved the coffee table from the room, so that we could enjoy the view with a few glasses of wine in the evening. The balconies on the first and fifth (top) floor appear larger than the others.
The room was quite spacious but again, as others have commented, there is no air conditioning. So I imagine the rooms could be quite uncomfortable on a hot day. There is a desk fan in the room which helped, but it was only 22C or so when we stayed. It's worth noting that you can hire a fridge from the reception for €10 per stay (there is no mini bar). We also obtained a kettle from reception which was free of charge.
On the basement level connecting the three blocks there is an Irish bar, a restaurant, childrens play area and bowling alley. The swimming pool, sauna and spa area are also located in the basement together with the exit to the street, where you can walk to the beach or town within a few minutes.
Parking is free of charge, but you have to leave the car park by 12 noon on your day of departure. Street parking is available nearby for approximately €2/hour.
There are some great restaurants within a few minutes walk nearby, our favourite was Nautilus aan Zee (on the beach) and Brasserie Santiago (in the town).
Overall we we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return when we are next in Egmond aan Zee.

We booked the hotel directly from hotel website. Easy booking process and hotel sent an email to me right after to confirm the booking and asking for car license plate number, so we can get to the parking garage.
We arrived hotel around 1pm and lucky our room is ready and checkin is quick no waiting time, the whole process is less than 2 mins. They have printed hangout on current breakfast, dining information. I wish they do have this information in English rather than just in Dutch.
Room is clear and comfortable, we got a room face to the city plus some sea view. In the room, I could hear people walking in the hallway, so I'm pretty sure people can hear from you easily in the hallway.
Overall, good stay and will stay again in the future, nice location, only 3 mins to the beach.

Our group attended a conference here in December, and despite the conference's intense schedule, our stay at the hotel proved to be an oasis of relaxation. The hotel's amenities, including a serene swimming pool and a sauna, offered the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. Its superb location, right on the beach, meant that moments of respite were just a short walk away, allowing for spontaneous beach strolls whenever the conference's demands became too much. Additionally, the staff was very nice and we received a delicious food buffet every day :) I highly recommend this establishment for anyone seeking a balance of professional engagement and peaceful leisure.

Despite having a smoking room for smokers, and easy access to the outside, plenty of people were blatantly smoking in the ballroom. Instead of a clear instant ban from the venue (as it should be), security just lets them off / ignores it altogether. Suggest people with respiratory issues avoid any big events at this venue.

First of all , it is not mentioned nowhere in the website or the confirmation that you are not allowed to smoke in the balcony !!!! nonsense
No fridge , no coffee machine , no kettle in the rooms , no room service
for a price of 165 eur / night - this is a scam .....
Everything is closed , no terrass , you cant have breakfast / lunch or diner outside .
No respect of distance of 1,5 m during the breakfast , huge crowd ..
Factory not hotel , no personal service at all
Very disappointed and will never come back or recommend to it anybody

Decent rooms and bathrooms, great location, but poor customer service that you makes you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is not a cheap hotel and I hate writing bad reviews especially when Covid must has affected business. But rude service is just unacceptable.

Despite the difficulty with pronouncing the name of this hotel for non-Dutch-speakers, the hotel is welcoming and perfect for large conferences. I attended my third international conference here recently and the rooms seem to have been upgraded. They cater well for large groups with a large restaurant where they had enough buffets to avoid long queues. Their main meeting hall is also well equipped, but it has no windows which is a disadvantage. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient.
It time permits, it is worth stepping outside for a walk by the beach, a stroll in the little town's main street or up to the lighthouse.

Hotel is impressive with lots of facilities.
Breakfast is uninspiring. Its the same every day. For some reason the toaster is hidden on the opposite side of the room to the bread , and was not plugged in. Cooked selection very limited.
Lunches and dinner for the event I attended were very nice. Great staff. Great food.
Room was nice. Good bathroom. The issue was that the weather was bad - very windy and raining. One night there was constant banging - caused by the wind blowing something. Very loud and kept me awake. Another night the sound of drains kept me awake.
Noise from the hallway was quite excessive at times.
There seemed to be very little information available on what was in the hotel - none was given at checkin and nothing was in the room.
Beach is very nice.

I think you have to go from Alkmaar but there maybe a change as well before Amsterdam .... not sure I ended up in a very expensive taxi to get there from the airport
Not sure. My stay was all inclusive.
Dat mag
Dat zou ik niet met zekerheid durven zeggen. Ik dacht dat een ledikant bij te bestellen is voor een klein bedrag extra.
