To reach the rooms you must enter a saloon, and the door to the upstairs bedrooms is narrow. The bedroom was so noisy that we had to lock the window. The forniture are simple but nice and the bed comfortable, the manager could be more hospitable. Breakfast is standard. Good location in the middle of the fantastic Texel island.

This is a great hotel in a great location - well, almost. It is situated in the centre of Den Burg, which is really handy, but right opposite the church, whose bells chime the hour every hour, and chime once every half hour day and NIGHT! If you are located at the front of the hotel, and like to sleep...

This is a fine hotel in the middle of the town in Den Burg in Texel. We loved their bed, it is comfortable and we did really slept nice, but you can hear the church bells every hour when your room is located next to the church. The shower was also good, it's well maintained and its clean. We were...

Very nice hotel, small hotel. No elevator but we know that, trendy clean room. Fresh breakfast, no buffet but that is no problem (but every day the same). We had dinner there one eventing as well, it was very good. Staff was very friendly, the owner can act a bit cocky (bummer).

Very clean, cosy and lovely hotel. Room is great, we were located on the 2nd floor so no noise from the restaurant or bar. The only downside is you have to pay for the parking but for the rest nice place to stay. Groupon deal was awesome and money worth.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during our anniversary. The room is modern, tasteful, luxurious interior, nice rain shower, awesomely comfortable bed & soft blanket. Cleanness is no question - there was barely any dust. One of the things we liked most is also the fact that the hotel rooms are situated just above a restaurant - very...

When we arrived, early, the rooms were not ready, so we did other things before coming back in the afternoon. Parking is quite difficult. You cannot park at the hotel and the nearest parking place has a time limit. You can park at about 5 till 10 minutes away from the hotel. The staff can give you good directions. The...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at De Smulpot for a long weekend we spent in Texel in July 2012. The hotel located about 5 minutes by walk from the bus station, what made possible easily to find it. The entrance to the hotel leads you first through the small and cosy restaurant, where we had a delicious home cooking dinner...
