This is a nice hotel with good food but the service is poor. Dinner was slow and the restaurant management staff rude (the general staff fine). The breakfast was very slow and I had to get up and ask staff to take my order. The shame is that I have visited this hotel more than a dozen times and it...

It is such a disappointment to read your review. We always strive to give the best possible customer service, and I am so sorry that your last experience was less than perfect. We have a new team in the kitchen who are now delivering some fantastic food lead by James Finch. I am quite sure that a return visit would...

In Suffolk for the weekend having been invited to appear at Slaughter at Southwold. We found ourselves with a free Sunday afternoon so spent time at Warbleswick and other places nearby. In need of an evening meal, it was quite difficult to find somewhere open and serving food. We came upon The Westleton Crown by chance and despite no booking,...

Our room was good size facing onto the car park. It was quiet. The bed was interesting - a good mattress on an old frame. The springs made an unbelievable racket which could be very annoying every time you rolled over. There were a few nice touches and a few omissions and glitches. Overall, I would say it is OK...

Many thanks for your review. The room you stayed in has a new bed and mattress, but since your review we have been able to sort out the noise the bed was making- thank you. The kitchen team has been through some challenges but I’m delighted that all the feedback we are getting is much improved.

Had dinner here last Saturday evening. Lovely surroundings very good food and excellent service even though they were busy. Sham tjis pub is not local to us in Buckinghamshire. Will try and come back but stay there.

we stayed here for 2 nights in "Grebe" a lovely characterful room to the rear of the carpark away from the main road so nice and quiet. Staff were friendly. Dinner and breakfast were good both days - we didn't find the need to try anywhere else. They gave us a printed map of local walks to their sister pub...

We enjoyed our stay at the Crown, our room was lovely (Nuthatch) and the 'extras' real coffee, home-made shortbread, nice décor certainly added to it. When thinking at a later date about the 'extras' it must be said that after paying over £100 for the room they should be termed as expected. The breakfast is excellent, a nice assortment of...

We stayed for 1 night whilst visiting nearby Southwold. Staff were friendly & helpful. Food in the restaurant was very good. Not sure about the shabby chic furniture in the restaurant though. Our room was one of the basic ones & was quite small. I would imagine in warm weather would be very hot in there. But on the plus...

My boyfriend and I were staying nearby and were recommended here for dinner. We sat in the restaurant by the window (the restaurant is really bright, airy and spacious). The menu is full of many good choices and it was hard to choose what to have - everything we had was faultless and delishious with large servings. The waiters who...

A big thank you to Rob, Olly and all the staff who made our stay here welcoming and homely. Yes they are understaffed but dealt with it brilliantly, working very hard. The hotel itself was lovely, in a beautiful location and the food was gorgeous to which our four legged friend Monty agreed especially his sausages in the morning :)...

Having stayed at the Crown's sister pub, The Ship Inn in Dunwich the night before (and having had an excellent stay) we decided we'd visit The Crown for Sunday lunch. The website looked lovely, and we were certainly impressed with the style and decor when we arrived. Sadly the service was incredibly poor. Having been given a menu while having...

It is very disappointing to read about your experience during a visit for Sunday lunch. It seems we were way below our usual levels of service when you visited us. We can usually pride ourselves on our levels of service but it seems that we got many parts of the service wrong with a less than perfected team. I am...
