We stayed for a week end in the Art House Hove to discover Brighton as our first stop out of our two weeks holiday trip along the south of England. It could not have been better! We were in the 'Garden room", which was quiet and spotlessly clean. Dexter is a wonderful host, we enjoyed nice conversations along the perfect...

It is a very lovely furnished house. Every bed- and bathroom is spacious, unique and, shows Liz' artistic hand. Thank you Liz for letting us peek in your workshop! Dexters breakfast is marvelous, mouth-watering and left nothing to be desired. The house is situated in a quiet neigbourhood within a ten minutes walk to the beach and 20 minutes to...

Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights last week. It is absolutely great, from the large well appointed spotlessly clean room and ensuite, to the personally cooked and served breakfast. It is by far the nicest B&B I have stayed in - EVER. We shall visit again for sure.

We were really pleased we found this place, in more peaceful Hove, a 20 min walk from frenetic Brighton. Really comfortable rooms and beds, great bathroom and fantastic breakfast cooked by the ever-helpful Dexter who helped us find some good walks and even lent us his own walks book

Our room was beautiful; the bed is big and comfortable with lovely linen. Very fluffy towels in an immaculate bathroom that functions wonderfully. The location was ideal for our walks to the beach and local cafes and restaurants. Dexter and Liz are wonderful, relaxed hosts and the breakfasts are superb.

This house in Hove is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Lovely people and great veggie food cooked for us by Dexter. We had the Garden room on the 3rd floor overlooking the garden, which displayed the stunning mosaic works of the co-owner, Liz. Very convenient for Brighton & Hove.

Very stylish accommodation with a peaceful ambience. There were good healthy breakfast options and very hospitable hosts. The whole package was excellent value as well. Just far enough out of central Brighton to be relaxing but still convenient for its attractions. What more could you want?!!

We enjoyed our stay. As there are only two rooms, you very much get the personal touch. You feel like house guests rather than customers. Great location, a little away from busy main roads, but still feeling quite central.

We visited for the second time and once again stayed for two nights. The second visit was even better than the first, which was in 2014. The rooms are now ensuite, and absolutely beautiful. The breakfast is very healthy, beautifully prepared, and delicious. We were once again made so welcome, and it really is a home from home. Thank you.

You will find The Art House Hove has an atmosphere of graciousness and calm. This refurbished Victorian villa combines tradition with modernity and style. Located 5 minutes from sea, it has easy access to central Brighton and Conference Centre. All rooms are individually styled, big windows and comfortable but not en-suite. The travertine-clad bathroom and separate second wc are pretty fabulous and the fresh natural breakfast is lovely too. ... more   less
