It was cold, wet and windy on our stay but the welcoming was incredibly warm and friendly. The inn was quaint and rustic with a huge fire blazing on our arrival. Matthew was eating his dinner when we arrived yet left it to show us the caravan pitches, washrooms etc. Such a lovely, friendly welcome! The washroom was so clean!...

Myself and my partner came to the halfway house campsite to tryout out caravan for the first time. We were impressed with the friendly welcome that we received of both Peter and Matthew. It was important to us that our 2 dogs were OK to come on holiday too, but they exceeded our expectations when we were informed that our...

We stayed at this site on 31May15 and unfortunately would not return. It's unfortunate as the primary reason is nothing to do with the owner or site but the proximity to where a large pack of fox hounds are boarded. The noise of the dogs barking is every 3 hours through the night and is extremely disruptive making it difficult...

I had booked this site for my 50th celebration as we are keen campers as are the majority of our friends. We were after a site that would accommodate all of us and Peter was happy to do so. We also didn't want a site that had a strict no noise policy after 11 pm. With all of the above...

Good pub site in excellent location. Good pub with fab beer and food. Caravan pitches good but easily waterlogged when wet. Prices average for area. Good disabled loo and wetroom. We stayed 7 nights but our pitch wasnt ready on first night. We were told hot water heater for showers had broke but found out that they had run out...

My arrival here should have raised alarm bells. I arrived a few minutes before another lady. As the owner knew her from previous occasions, he took off to locate her pitch. I was fine with this. He said he would be back in a few minutes. 20 minutes later i decided to find my partner who was waiting in the...

I visited here for a weekend camping with family and friends and now really wish I hadn't bothered! The trouble started before we even arrived when my friend phoned to check what time we could arrive from only to be told they had no record of our booking which had been made approx 2 weeks earlier but apparently the gentleman...

Stayed the weekend as part of a small group. The facilities were minimal consisting of one toilet and shower for ladies and the same for men. There was a disabled facility but this was locked on the first night. Also the toilet block housed another room for rental for the unwary customer! There was no hot water to wash your...

Arrived on 4/8/12 in our caravan, pulled into the park to be met by the owner who stated you should not pull in untill you kinow what it is like. Good start! The serviced pitches that I thought we had booked were all full and we were informed we could park between two caravans, this would have left a distance...

Really enjoyed our friday - sunday, only a couple of caravans, motorhome and trailer tent on our field, and four or five tents in other field. Toilet and shower facilities very good. I think if it was fully booked, it could be a bit cramped, so nice for an early or late break. Pub is beautiful inside very old and...
