Only sampled the breakfast which was cooked to order and consistently good over 3 days. The room was clean and well maintained although the TV was showing its age and should have been replaced years ago. Not given four stars because the bar and public areas lack any ambience whatsoever. Not even tempted to eat in the hotel in the...

This is the worst experience of a hotel I have ever had in th uk.I had a late night in the bar and was shocked to see LADIES being booked for clients by hotel staff. It went downhill from there , as you can imagine it all got out of hand when the young ladies arrived and the men began...

Lovely old building in the historic town of Bawtry. Had a family lunch for 10 of us to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant wasn't too busy for a Sunday lunch so we thought with the staff that we could see we would get good service. Unfortunately despite the staff the service was very slow and not too supportive. We had...

I stayed at The Crown Hotel for 3 nights in early February for work. My room was decent, clean enough to be comfortable. I wouldn't describe the rooms as immaculate, nor well-appointed for business travelers, but they were adequate. The bed was decently comfortable. The room did not have blackout curtains, with light coming in around the door and through...

Visited here for Sunday lunch, was really looking forward to it, but it was extremely poor. Prawns for starter were the smallest, tasteless prawns. Mushrooms on toast was a sloppy mess no presentation to it, beef was overcooked. The meal was rushed we had eaten 3 courses within 40 minutes. For the price it was not good enough, cut out...

Seen some bad reviews about the hotel, but went with an open mind. Spent a Saturday night there including an evening meal, and breakfast, and spending the night in an executive bedroom. Room excellent, food fantastic, and all the staff very good and professional. There was a wedding reception there, and a separate function taking place. Music was loud, when...

Cannot fault our visit one bit! We arrived for the 2.30pm sitting today and were greeted very pleasantly by two experienced members of the restaurant team who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The venue itself has a great atmosphere with tables placed well away from each other so that you don't feel squashed. We had the 5 course menu,...

This is the third time I've stayed in this hotel and to be honest, the disappointment of my latest stay is the reason for this review (previously my stays have been adequate / functional at best). The hotel itself is well located, the food is generally pretty good and the staff are really friendly and helpful, however the little things...

I must say that I have been coming to this hotel most weeks for odds on biz since the end of Oct 2016. I have to rate it as 5 stars ..... it is always friendly, always professional . It is fairly contemporary inside despite its long heritage and historic village location. The village is full of fab restaurants as...
