My mother stayed here as were attending a family birthday close by. She was well looked after and said the breakfast was lovely. The bar was busy on that evening due to the bridge celebrating 300 years of existence but she managed a good sleep regardless and would recommend. The chap from Ayrshire got a special mention for looking after...

Easy to find and car park out the back. Free wi-if which worked all the time. Warm welcome and easy to check in/out. Food excellent & breakfast was very filling. Nothing was too much trouble. Reasonably priced too. Only negative comment we have is that the rooms are a little dated and the whole hotel could do with a fresh...

I had the pleasure of staying here for a night on my way to Ullapool. The owner welcomed me to the hotel and I even got an unexpected upgrade, added bonus. The hotel is small and cosy with a public bar so you can mix with the locals and other guests. Enjoyed a lovely bar lunch, food was delicious and...

Fortunately, the food there was 5-Star great!!! Unfortunately, we did not get the room shown in their website. The best I can say of our room was that everything was close by. After bumping our heads a half-dozen times we finally learned to raise our hand out against the angled ceiling to avoid doing so. The room appeared to be...

Lived up to all expectations with very friendly, helpful welcome from the start. No frills reflects the very reasonable price for bed and breakfast. Very peaceful setting and very comfy bed. Two heaters in room and heated towel rail so lovely and cosy. Brilliant meals served at lunch time and evenings and great selection of beverages - loved the great range...

We were visiting Landmark and needed a bed for the night. The hotel offered a good price for B&B and we knew exactly what to expect and were not disappointed. Parking is at the back of the hotel and a good few spaces. Our family room had a double and a single bed and was a good size. It was...

We never stayed here but we ate here each night. We had wondered about eating somewhere else but this place is amazing. The food is fresh local produce and they have an excellent chef. I am a very fussy eater, and will send back my food if it is not cooked properly, or if it does not taste good. I...

Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The hotel itself is nice while being a little rough around the edges. The food however is fantastic. Served in the bar, but the two meals were brilliantly cooked, with a daily fish special. Ideally located for walks around Carrbridge.

This is rated as a three star hotel, on that basis and also the very reasonable discounted price of £60 for a double room it represents superb value for money especially bearing in mind that a few miles down the road in Aviemore domestic B&Bs are looking for that sort of price per head. The Cairn appears to be well...
