We went in July, when it is cold in south Brazil, and the weather is ALWAYS hot in Bahia. The hotel is huge and the staff is very friendly. Since it is a resort - all you can eat and drink - we barely left the hotel. Kids had a lot of fun. Rooms were adequately clean. Food was decent....

This was my third time in Vila Gale Mares in Guarajuba and the hotel in my opinion has lost 1 star. Not because of the complex, but because of the lack of attention to details. The hotel has aged and remodeling is needed. The equipment in the gym is few and old, the bikes for renting is rusted, the rooms...

We loved it! Hotel exceeded our expectations and the party for the New Year was amazing! Very friendly staff ( only the statue in front of the main restaurant doesn't greet you ;) ). Hotel well maintained. Awesome location. I would, and hopefully will, come again.

Great structure! Great structure! Great pool, beachfront resort, good rooms, good food and good drink! Resort close to "Praia do forte" and "Projeto Tamar", also a great place to meet. It's worth going there!

If you don't want to move out of the hotel, this is the place, food and drinks/beer during the whole day will just fulfill your needs. Dancing classes and other activities during the day at the swimming pool are fun and the team that works on it are very kind and joyful. The food was much better since my last...

This hotel is set in a beautiful location right on the beach. It is about 1 hour taxi from the airport and should cost between 250-300 reais return depending on your bartering skills! I would say in general Brazil is one of the only countries I have been to where English is not so automatic for many locals to use....

Terrible food n dinks (thanks God that they have coca-cola). Bedrooms will give you a back pain. The traditional local food "acaraje" doesnt come with "caruru", so is fake! To have an omelet you will wait 20min in line. the gym is pathetic so bring your equipment.

My wife and I just spent a week here. Before selecting a resort, we read extensive reviews both on Tripadvisor as well as other sites, and decided to stay here. We could not have been happier with our decision !! You've got to take the negative reviews you read online about any resort or hotel with a healthy dose of...
