I was only in Coromandel for a couple of nights after visiting Whitianga and wish I could have stayed another day or two but had to continue on to Northland as I was on a tight travelling schedule. This hostel feels much more like a home than your typical backpackers. It's clean, cozy, spacious, close to the town, and did...

We went to the peninsula of Coromandel and ended our day at the Tui Lodge. The proprietor was very friendly and we got a good evening with some other guests:-) The place was also perfect, sheep and lambs around us, oranges and lemons to pick however much we wanted. Thanks for our great stay!

My husband and I are a +65 couple touring New Zealand using the public trains and buses so we need to be mindful of the location of our accommodation. Tui Lodge turned out to be perfect. This was our first stay at a back-paker lodge and we must say it was a good experience. We did book a private room...

Tui Lodge had a really friendly, comfortable atmosphere. There was plenty of seating outside, even a couple of hammocks, and extensive laundry and kitchen facilities. WiFi was free for some rooms, or had to be paid for for others, and only worked in communal areas. It was about a 15 minute walk away from Coromandel town itself, or a couple...

Nice little place. Good sized gardens with a hammock and table tennis in one and 5 sheep in another. Good clean but small rooms. The hosts are very helpful and accommodating. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Almost at end of the small town.

We found this a lovely place to stay...generally it was clean, great showers and two good kitchens. The people running the Lodge are lovely, friendly and accommodating. It is close to town and on a good road if you plan on travelling over to Whitianga (other side of Coromandel Peninsula). Nice surrounds, and there is WiFi, TV, lounge room etc...

We stayed here 2 nights in a 8 dorm bed room. Loved it! Such friendly helpful staff, clean tidy rooms, great kitchen facilities and we just loved the outdoor area. $5 unlimited internet and free bikes to use. Staff gave us good advice to see some great spots close to Coromandel town. Paid less than $30 each really worth it!...

We stayed for 2 nights in their private room with ensuite bathroom. The place was easy to find and is on the edge of the Coromandel Town. Things we liked: 1. Nice green quiet place - with 5 shy sheep on site. 2. Room was small but clean. 3. Common kitchen was well equipped. 4. Owners were very helpful. 5....
